“The atmosphere and service are wonderful, but it's the food that makes Hunan my favorite restaurant in Mattoon. After moving to Illinois from California, we were looking for something bigger than a small-town cuisine. Hunan was more than expected. Date night turned into a delicious dinner. My husband had orange chicken, and I had the mushroom chicken, and we shared veggie lo mien. The food was amazing and flavorful. It exceeded our expectations. 100% recommendations. The service was a bit slow, but there was only 1 server, and she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. We will go back!“

I used to work for a pest control company when I started eating here and I can tell you that I saw some nasty places and this was not one of them. The staff are always great! My wife and have come to know and establish a friendship with the manager Annie. She is a beautiful person who is helpful to everyone.
