Harold’s Chicken Shack Reviews
I’ve been to this spot a few times out this way and it used to be good at least to me my order was always right… the next time i come after it’s been a while my order was wrong & they’re stingy as hell with the mild sauce but the inside looks completely different like ownership been passed on or something the pictures of black artists are gone and the atmosphere now seems bland and less black in my opinion…don’t know if i’ll be back but to each their own.
Nicki and Netta were fantastic! Nicki was extremely nice and gave suggestions for favorites and Netta was really nice as well and stopped and checked how our food was and let us know about Harold’s corporate! Food was fantastic! And the mild sauce is definitely a staple but that chicken was TEA! Crispy and good and the Obama lemonade kind of turned it.
Friendly staff & always fresh food 🍱💯

Harold’s Chicken Shack offers fantastic food, with chicken that is crispy and good. The mild sauce is definitely a staple, and the Obama lemonade kind of turned it. Some say it’s fake, some say it’s real, but the restaurant has been decent 8 out of 10 times. A bucket of chicken was delicious, moist inside and crispy skin, reminding one of how a grandmother from the South used to fry chicken. However, one meal was disappointing, as the chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease, and the flavor was hard to get past. Service can be inconsistent: a young lady behind the counter is very rude and looks at you crazy for asking for fresh fries, and the fries are always cold depending on who’s taking your order. The chicken is always on point. Also, you must make sure you have a car when purchasing because everything is self service. You order and purchase your food through a kiosk, and they cook it to order. Delicious! Oh, and they open at 11, not 10.
