“Where to begin about this hidden gem of an Irish pub located on the southwest side of Chicago? Having recently returned from a trip to Ireland, Scotland in the UK, I am very familiar of what a proper Irish pub is like. I also need to say that I have been all over North America and most of Europe and have been to hundreds if not thousands of bars. The twisted shamrock knocks the ball out of the park on all accounts, atmosphere, service and cleanliness. The drinks are absolutely superb, from a excellent old fashioned to a properly poured black and tan. My wife had a Christmas cocktail which she said was just Divine. The bartender there, shorter guy with a beard is one of the finest bartenders I've ever encountered. His knowledge of sports and cocktails is second to none. A few ladies who are sitting at the end of the bar were saying how he is very easy on the eyes (Don't ask me I don't swing that way 🙂). I wish I would have gotten his name so I could give accolades or accolades are due. The crowd was mixed and lively. From old to Young, everyone was welcome and having a good time.“

“I gave them 4 stars for the friendly and quick service. I believe I paid 18.00 for 2 shots of some peanut butter tasting shot. Thats a hefty price, which is why i hang out in the burbs. Regardless, fun atmosphere. I would drop by again for a beer or two. Did not eat.“

“The karaoke on Sunday is a lot of fun! The man who runs it has a lot of music! In the beginning if it is slow he will let people do a few songs in a row. But he is also very fair. So once it’s getting busy he will space it out and get everyone in but I have never been to a place that would allow that. He is a great singer himself so I guess he enjoys taking care of people and allowing them to warm up when it’s slow. That’s cool! And the people who come are damn good singers and nice. There are no divas here but some damn good talent. A rare gem!“

“We loved the ambiance of this Irish Pub! The Christmas decor and lights make it a wonderland! The band was great and the pub has so much charm!

This all made up for the 3 bartenders who were more worried about talking to their friends than waiting on customers. We waited 20 min, as did customers next to us, staff looked right at us and kept talking to their friends. A bartender with curly hair- she actually scowled at us for asking to place a drink order. Exception was one bartender who had very long straight dark brown hair: she was awesome and was doing all of the others work with a huge smile on her face! She was great! It was a busy night that the restaurant could have had higher cash flow if the others focused on drink orders. We'll be back though, really great place!“

“They served the Corned Beef Platter and didn't disappoint! The server we had was perfect for their environment too. We added the corned beef barley soup. OMG YUMMM! I just wish they served it longer than 4 days. They have several other Irish dishes to try as well. I feel like I can't get enough. Lol 😄“

“Sometimes the service can be hit or miss due to experience of some of the waiters. I do love the food though and the environment is cute. I do miss the 20% Discount but I'm assuming public servants were being cheap (HOPEFULLY I wasnt one of them haha) it is what it is I do enjoy the place“

“I usually stop here since it's on my mail route and I can tell you that they have great food and great drinks I had their buttermilk chicken sandwich with portage park tater tots and it was very good I highly recommend this spot espically for happy hour also the staff is amazing they always make me feel welcome“
