Went into Don's just a drink and came out very stuffed. The Ruben sandwich was excellent. They're menu is impressive. Even better were the employees. Super friendly! We will definitely out back.
Amazing Deli/Sub Sandwich Shop Alert!! My children Ben, Sophie, and I went to a local place called Dons Subs on Rt. 31 in McHenry. We wanted to try something new and decided to take a chance. Oh, my goodness!!!! This adorable mom-and-pop shop was so great!! There are so many choices...we chose The Barn Club Sub (Turkey, Ham, REAL bacon (not the pre-made sandwich stuff) American Cheese, and all the toppings), Chips, Homemade Broccoli/Cheddar soup, and pop. First time diner. Hot pastrami carry out. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Really good and a lot of meat. I’m no slouch but I had to save half for the next day lunch. I would comment on the cheesecake but I forgot it…lol. Anyway I’ll be back.
