“We tried this place on a Saturday afternoon. There was a short line to order, but that just gave us time to go over the menu. We ended up with the classic chicken sandwich, a chicken nugget meal, and the Campero sald. While we were there, a family of 12 ordered family style option 20 pieces of chicken (some fried, some grilled). When dining in, you order your food and are given a numbered table tent. Find a table. There are 9 booths, 6 tables inside, and 3 tables outside. Your food is brought to your table. As busy as it was, our food got to our table fast, and it was hot. The staff are really on top of keeping the dining room clean and ready for guests. The food is served on dinnerware that reminds me of Bonita dinnerware. It is a fast-food environment, but the plates and table service elevates it. My chicken sandwich was juicy breast meat on a soft bun. I got the Yucca fries; they were crispy but needed a sauce. The Campero salad had spring mix, shredded cheese, and cherry tomatoes with a fried chicken breast; you could tell the salad had not been sitting around for a day. We got one Empanada, it was doughy and did not have a lot of filling. The loyalty program was a bit difficult. You had to add the app and scan it at the register or scan the bar code on the receipt, but our receipt did not have a bar code.

Kid-friendliness: Half the tables in the restaurant had children. This is a great family restaurant. They have chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for the picky eaters.“

“We tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken in Skokie and it was absolutely worth it! We ordered the Byrd Bomb (crispy tenders with cheese, slaw, 24 karat sauce, pickles on bread and hot toast) and it was packed with flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was juicy and had the perfect kick, while the crispy Byrd wrap was a great twist with amazing crunch. We also got a full order of wings, and they were cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside.
The drinks selection is solid (Pepsi products) and paired perfectly with the heat. Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place had plenty of space with lots of parking available.
If you’re looking for delicious hot halal chicken with great portions and excellent service, this is the spot. Definitely coming back! Also they are on uber eats and open super late“

“I am in sheer awe of how amazing this order was! The quality of the chicken sandwich has practically revamped my rating scale for food moving forward. On my previous 1-10 scale, this legitimately would have been a 15. The fried boneless thigh was juicy and tender beyond compare, with a spice and flavor profile that blew me away. The Cole slaw was crispy, flavorful, and inventive; a perfect accompaniment. The pickles are astounding (I don’t know but I feel like they are made in-house). I swapped the sauce for the hot honey ranch and it was delectable and scrumptious.

By far the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had.

The fried corn bread was equally astounding, crispy little perfect pillows that explode with a homey feeling that echoes through the meal.

Super clean sitting area with quiet music and television while you wait for your food. I've been there twice already, and will definitely be going back. “Their service and staff are great! The wings are amazing, juicy and delicious! The atmosphere a vibe! My first time trying the wings love the combo deals. I had the Wings with Spicy Teriyaki and Lemon pepper fries. Churros made fresh, paired well with the Nutella dip. Overall great vibe, great food, service and price! This place is worth it and definitely a Chicago Best wing spot in my opinion! I will be back to taste the other flavors.“

“I first tried this place when its first open the food was better. My family and I order trays of chicken fingers with their amazing sauce and fries. Until last year I ordered the chicken sandwich combo and my niece ordered chicken fingers combo we realized the taste of their food change from chicken to the sauce and fries. Its too peppery not like before perfect seasoning. I told her this was not their food before. I said I'm not going back again. Then my child and I was hungry after her game it was late around 11p. So my kid wanted to eat chicken sandwich and want to go to Cane's. We ordered the chicken sandwich combo and I order the tenders combo, still same taste very peppery. I was planning to buy a take home tray of fingers but changed my mind. I hope they put their true recipe back like before. Their sauce is too much ketchup and pepper, chicken is very seasoned with pepper and the fries is too salty. This restaurant was good before now very disappointing. But atleast the ice tea is still good but it was better before. I guess it's just because they were newly open that time the recipe was good. I'd hope they kept it like just before.“

“Got the spicy fried chicken, palabok, burger steak, mashed potatoes, and guava freeze. Overall the food is good and doesn’t take too long like other locations. It wasn’t too busy when I got here. But the spicy fried chicken was less spicy than other locations that I have tried. It tastes like just fried chicken. So it wasn’t bad just not spicy at all. So don’t expect it to be spicy but it’s still good anyway if you're dripping with the sauce. Palabok was my favorite one. The atmosphere is quiet and easy to talk in. All the places are clean and the staff are very nice. Some items online were unavailable but I recommend to check with them because they have it, it's just not on the menu online. There are plenty of parking spots too and a drive-thru option.“

“Peri Peri is definitely one of my favorite types of cuisines and the port of peri peri is by far the best! Anytime I visit the chicken is well marinated, flavorful and tender. I would highly recommend the chicken tender rice bowl since they are well portioned. Definitely check this place out as well as their other locations!“

“This is a new establishment; it is very nice inside; it was worth the wait! The proprietors greeted me as soon as I came in and I didn't have to wait to order. I was impressed with the tv that showed how things were prepared; looked scrumptious! I got the catfish dinner for my parents and they too were pleased.“
