“I had not eaten at Luli’s prior to that first visit. Absolutely Extraordinary Experience from start to finish. Meeting the owner and staff helped me realize just how well run this bar restaurant is!!From friendly prompt confident service from Katy to Absolutely perfectly prepared entrees and sides. Mouthwatering taste comes standard with each choice I’ve tried. Reasonably Priced High Quality offerings. Just get there, and make yourself welcome, they insist on it.“
“Was here on a Monday driving through for work. Place was quiet. The service was friendly. The food was fast and quite good. I had the Rueben with tots. I was shocked at how good the rueben was. It was not all fatty like many places like to serve. I will definitely eat here again if I'm in the area.“
“We like a lot to go out. Yesterday we visited this fine restaurant which friends recommended to us. We spent a lovely experience there with excellent dishes and a well-trained stuff and a professional cook. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall definitely visit again soon. Highly recommended.“
“Jose’s fajitas meal was amazing!! It’s not on the menu as it is a specialty item so ask for it. It was everything he described and then some. The staff was kind which made for a pleasant experience. Would absolutely recommend this place.“
“Cute tavern with small booths. We popped in just for the Mac and Cheese. It was creamy and delicious. The menu offers something for everyone. The service was swift, and the food came out hot. There are so many unique decorations to look at.“
“A DIY (pour your own beer) place. Really cool concept. Maybe first of its kind in the QCA. Downside, no longer can you try a beer for free. Good vibes and fun atmosphere. Also they have lots of games to try out. Most free, but some are arcade style.“
“Need a new craft beer to try? Then you need to check this place out! Retail and unique crafts on tap with a zen atmosphere to boot! Have loved this place for years now...they have something for everyone and the knowledge of their staff will help you find it!“
“I've ordered food from them many times via door dash but I finally got a chance to dine in and it was wonderful! Our server was so kind and helpful and the food was on point. Generous portions and amazing flavor. Love this little spot. Will definitely be back and also order again...and again...and again!“
“Bootleg Hill is cool & chill! Listened to Patrick Moore perform, (so the place has to be amazing!) This place brings in local talent for open mic. I hear the Mead is awesome! I had a couple of NA options. Good drinks, good service, good vibes! Definitely support these guys! This place is way too cool to turn it into a sports bar. I’ll def be back.“
“Our date night top spot. I've seen David Ramirez, SUSTO, Rum Ragged, Darren Kiely w/ Kyndel Inskeep and now John McCauley. Always amazing artists here! Love itParking: Parking right out front of doorWheelchair accessibility: No stairs or steps“
“Our first time there and not knowing anything about this restaurant we showed up at 4:45 on Saturday. The server sat us pretty quickly in the very front corner booth. We were thankful to have a booth. They were busy. The menu had so many choices. The food was great and large portions. Our server sat us and told us she wouldn’t forget about us. I’m here to tell you she was the wonderful. She was so pleasant, always showed up at the right time, and knowledgeable of the menu. If you go ask for Tina. Well Done“
“Went there last night to meet some friends. Had an excellent dark beer and my wife had a glass of white wine. Nice atmosphere that could be enhanced by being a little warmer however. Service was very prompt and friendly. Like going there with out of town guests as well.“
“We came all the way from Dallas Texas. This place is well worth it. From the customer service to the food. Everything came out so quick and food was delicious. Our waiter Emanuel and I believe the manager made sure we were taken care of at all times.“
“Stopped in for the first time last night. Joined a group already seated by the fire pit and I had mentioned to my group that my beer tasted funny, than a man got up and said please let me replace it. Turns out we sat by the owners. I still would of drank it and was a but embarrassed. We will definitely be back, staff was all friendly, the band was great and they have an amazing outdoor space. Thank you for the hospitality!!!!!“
“Place is awesome! Seems a lot of locals like the place. Always a good sign. Tammy was a great server. She even interdicted me to the local patrons as they sat down around me.I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon fries and I chose coleslaw. All three were great! Tammy said she made the slaw herself. Very good! If you staying across the street this is a must to walk over and give it a try. If I was here longer I’d be back another night for sure.“
“Good little bar. They do exactly what you would expect, plus a little more. Drinks are well made and bartenders are happy to experiment when a customer desires it. Cant complain on selection. Location is great, especially for ppl staying at the black hawk.“
“This place is easy to miss entirely. A bar in a strip mall shared by a T Mobile store, a salon, and an FSBO homes outlet...if it weren't for the beer and liquor neon signs on the storefront, I'd have still been wondering what the place was. I guess Google maps helped too - they tend to be pretty accurate at identifying what businesses generally do.The overall appearance of the interior is not entirely cohesive. There's the normal mix of high top table seating and stools at the bar that's common at bars. The floors are a nice looking wood laminate - that was common enough, but clean in overall appearance. The lighting is also nicely done in the space - evenly dispersed incandescent or incandescent-like suspended metal fixtures are present throughout the space, providing a warm, low light level. The ceiling area, however, is fractured in overall appearance. The area behind the bar contains 2 x 4 foot drop ceiling tiles, while the rest of the drinking space is uncovered with visible wooden support frames, HVAC ductwork, and conduit. The area behind the bar is pretty interesting. The metallic or metallic-looking patterned tile were a neat accent, especially when paired with the yellow-orange strip lighting throughout. This also provided a nice way to partially illuminate the liquor bottles displayed along the bar.I was ready to order my standard Gin and Tonic and asked the bartender what their selection of gin included. She mentioned they had an orange flavored Tanqueray, what I've now come to understand was Tanqueray Sevilla Orange. This was something new for me, so I opted to try this in a Gin and Tonic. That was a good decision, as this is one of the best Gin and Tonics I've had in a while. The drink was smooth with light orange citrus notes throughout. If this is on offer when I'm out in the future, I'd definitely get this again.Probably not at The Q, though. I know I wrote some things about the ceiling that were a little picky. These aesthetic choices don't bother me severely - general ambient noise level does, however. The music was playing at a volume just above what I'd consider too loud. The effects were clear - the other 10 or so people in the bar were all talking far louder than normal just to be heard above the music. This is a big turn-off for me when places do this. I come out for a drink or two and some generally quiet conversation if I'm in a group. This place definitely wouldn't service this need.To be fair, The Q has a back patio area that wouldn't be feasible to use in the current winter weather. I'd consider visiting again in warmer weather and sitting in this area. In the meantime, I'd probably still stop in for a drink to wait for a significant other with a salon appointment or to shop for a phone if either of those specific scenarios were to arise. There's both TVs with sports and darts to pass the time.“
“Best bar I’ve found locally in my opinion. Everyone is very knowledgeable on what they serve! They have an awesome wine selection and wine room you can buy from! My boyfriend loves the bourbon they offer! Its a little higher price but well worth it for the service and atmosphere. It’s quiet yet cozy and welcoming. 5 stars if you ask me!“
“My husband and I were so excited to find an arcade bar! I will say the initial impression we got was a bit confusing. There was no signage or employees letting you know how to get our quarters to play any of the machines. So we ended up having to wait in a very very long line at the bar just to get our quarters to play. Once we got started, the games were pretty fun. A few of them were out of order which is to be expected. There was an adult birthday party there during the time we went which was around 11 PM on a Saturday, so they really took over most of the arcade and most of the games for a long period of time we will definitely try again next time.“
“We were looking for a good bloody Mary and found this place. I'm here to tell you the bloody Mary's were the bomb. There food and service is amazing. Amazing smoked meats. Definitely found a place me and my wife can road trip to again and again. Loved it! Thanks juniors!“
“I had a pleasant visit to this cozy bar located at the bottom of the hill as you enter downtown. The morning crowd was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I decided to try the open-faced roast beef, also known as Hot Beef, which turned out to be quite tasty.“
“Wooden Nickel is Supburb place to stop and wet your whistle. Very relaxing Great drinks of the Variety They serve . Certain nights they have Ore Duerves and Sundag you can make your own Bloody Marys. Jukebox Slots Pool Table Patio. Definitely recomend. Prices are great.“
“Great pitstop on my way from Chicago to Des Moines to remote work, drink, and watch the Women's World Cup game. Ideal service, nice drinks, fast wifi, best ambiance with music, many TVs, sangria special, and a cool fire pit on the patio.“
“Waiter was AMAZING! I think his name was Jack. The food was delicious, and prices were decent. The owner checked on everybody in the restaurant. Very clean...including the bathroom!! DEFINITELY recommend this place! Oh yea, that cherry cobbler is everything!“
“Had a great time stereo speakers sound beautiful nice atmosphere you can look out the windows and see the rock river flowing by wood trees to go with it the first Sunday of every month they have a surprise drink you must try it it's fun“
“Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere (except a bit noisy). Our waitress was very attentive. First we had the Crab Beignets, which were delicious. Three of us had the Scallops, which was good; one had fish. Dessert was turtle cheesecake and coconut creme cake.“
“Every now and then I have friends I'll visit in West Davenport. After work one day I was planning to meet with a few of them but unfortunately our plans fell through on my way driving to the place we were meeting. Since I was already nearly in the area, I decided to impulsively stop at Probstei. It had been recommended on the Quad Cities Subreddit, so I was eager to try them anyways. This place is decidedly not the normal sort of venue I frequent. There's a large sign of sorts on the building exterior proclaiming "welcome bikers". To clarify, I am not a biker, nor does my general appearance reflect any sort of associated stereotype for someone who chooses to ride a motorcycle. The interior is fairly small. There's a bar that runs the length of most of the space, a single pool table, and a few other tables. The floor is a combination of wood laminate and pretty old looking carpet, while the overhead consists of primarily plain drop ceiling. Lighting is low - a combination of a few accent strips and the various neon beer signs in the interior. It's quiet and easy on the eyes - I liked it.I opted for the patty melt on the menu with a side of fries. Both were alright. The only thing I was a little bummed about was the bread - it was advertised as rye, but ended up being white bread. Still, it was greasy and delicious.Of further note is the eclectic patio area around the side of the building. There's a variety of seating, including a few picnic tables, individual chairs, and even benches of the size children would likely use. It looks like a nice place to hang out during the warmer months. This is well away from home for me, so I probably won't be back. If you're in the area and need a quiet place to crash and enjoy a greasy bar meal, this might be for you. Thanks, Probstei.Vegetarian options: Consult with the server/bartender what might be vegetarian on the menu.Kid-friendliness: This probably isn't the best place to sit down for a family meal.aybe in the summer months if you want to sit outside.Parking: For the size of the venue there's plenty of free parking around the buildingWheelchair accessibility: The front entrance is wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: Recommend consulting with the server/bartender about your particular dietary needs.“
“This place is always busy, and with good reason - it's popular because the food is great, and so is the service. I usually have the cheese enchiladas or the street steak tacos, because they're both very good -- but this time I decided to try something new, and had the enchiladas del mar. They were stuffed with shrimp and covered with a tasty and smooth cheese sauce. They came with a mushroom quesadilla on the side -- it was absolutely scrumptious, and I was almost sorry that I wolfed down the enchiladas because I couldn't finish the quesadilla. My husband had a chicken quesadilla and a margarita, and he reported that both were very good. Our waiter was extremely attentive and brought things to us very quickly. Always a great meal. The only downside side is that parking can be a challenge.“
“Stopped in before leaving town, as I was in for an interview with a local company. Amanda was behind the bar and made it a great quick stop. She was fast, friendly, and had great information regarding the surrounding area. If I relocate, this will instantly be one of my go to locations.“
“One of my favorite neighborhood bars! An old school atmosphere with memorabilia to remind you of all the good times. I love playing shuffleboard while there and the staff is awesome! Food never disappoints either so make sure to check out their specials!“
“Easy flow atmosphere with good selection of beers and booze. Small place but has a pool table and a couple slots. Honestly I dig this place a lot on certain days of the week. I'd tell ya which days but probably I won't. Yeah check these guys out. Worth it.“
“One of the best small town feel bars I've ever been to. The owners legitimately make you feel like family and their staff is superb, well trained, respectful, and knowledgeable. If this could be my home town bar I would be extremely happy! 12/10 highly recommend ?“
“My family rented their party room for Thanksgiving and it was a really great experience. Staff was super friendly and made sure that we had a good time. I definitely recommend this place for any get togethers you or your family need a place to celebrate at.“
“Quiet, beautiful, airy location was a perfect spot for a late breakfast this morning. My ham and swiss omelette was fantastic, as was the oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries that I was able to substitute in for hash browns and toast. Had a great chat with the server and got some tips on what to check out as I walk around town during my visit. Would definitely stop in here again during lunch or dinner to try something on their regular menu.“
“This place had the best chicken tenders / strips. Solid beer selection and drink specials. Love the cheese fries and pretzel bites.Very cool classic Budweiser mugs and signs all over the place. No idea why’d you would be in Sherrard, but get a bite and beer here.“
“oh my goodness, delicious food. speedy service. so far it's been tacos, cheeseburgers and meatloaf. so yummy. I am in a streak to try everything on the menu possible. I'm so full. they could serve half the food at the same price and I would order every day.“
“I had an enchanting evening at this beautiful and elegant restaurant. The Delmonico cut steak was incredibly buttery and juicy, creating a warm and homey feeling when paired with the delightful bread and assorted butters. The carpeted flooring exuded elegance, complemented by a coat check at the entrance and a welcoming smile from the waitress. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the moon, adding a touch of magic to the entire experience. A truly memorable dining affair.“
“Great small town bar, went there on a Friday night and the people were extremely friendly and the bartender was killing it with the service. The only thing is if you are 6'3" or taller watch your head when you walk in. Yeah, I hit my head on the beam.“
