“Stopped in for lunch and the bar had such a wonderful atmosphere. Great food, I recommend the mozz bricks with bacon. They’re so addicting. The regulars are friendly. Also enjoyed playing on the slots while waiting for food. I definitely recommend if you’re in Silvis , Illinois to stop by here asap!!!“

“What great space with great people! We stopped by after the Reindeer Rambler 5k. It was so cute, cozy, and festive! The bartenders were so sweet, and the vibe is it! It was a beautiful day outside for December and we got to sit outside by the fire pit. The outside is just an inviting as the inside. 10/10 will be back“

“What a breathtaking view! I was completely in awe of the expansive, colorful sky during sunset—it felt like the sky was putting on a show just for us. The location feels a bit unexpected for East Moline, but it’s definitely a welcome surprise. There’s a certain charm to this place, almost like discovering a hidden gem in an unlikely spot. The food was good, though fairly basic. I enjoyed my meal, but I couldn’t help but feel that the menu could use a more elevated touch to match the beauty of the surroundings. With such an incredible atmosphere, I expected a bit more creativity or flair in the dishes. Still, the experience was enjoyable, and the stunning view alone makes it worth a visit!

“Stopped in for the first time last night. Joined a group already seated by the fire pit and I had mentioned to my group that my beer tasted funny, than a man got up and said please let me replace it. Turns out we sat by the owners. I still would of drank it and was a but embarrassed. We will definitely be back, staff was all friendly, the band was great and they have an amazing outdoor space. Thank you for the hospitality!!!!!“

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed!There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. “This is my absolute small batch brewery. A long with that are 20ish guest taps along with the 5-7 of their own, finding a better choice will be a hard find. I've been going here for at least 6 years when I can. Never have I been disappointed!“

“The food is so delightful and creative. I don't think J Bar gets enough attention as one of the best QC restaurants. Perhaps because it is connected to a hotel, it gets overlooked.
I had shrimp and grits which was every bit as good as that I have had in the south. My friend had the chicken thigh entree which he said was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktail are wonderful.“
“I am staying at Stoney Creek for 2 nights, coming from Madison Wi and wanted something to eat before settling in.There were just 2 other customers at the bar, but only one man running the bar and the grill.He was super friendly and helpful. I asked what the Grown Up Grilled Cheese was and it sounded good so I ordered.It was Fantastic.He even helped me out by filling my empty soda bottle to take to my room so I wouldn’t spill.I would definitely recommend this place and kudos to the young man working 3/11 around 6:30 pm.“

“After sleeping in after my evening workout, I ventured out of my hotel room for some “restaurants near me”, but the majority closed their kitchens an hour prior to closing and one didn’t even serve dinner although Google advertised that they did. Ms. Carrie came to the rescue and didn’t even rush me out after they closed their doors at 10pm. And the plus, their food was the best so far!“

“Nice little tavern with lots of room inside doesn't look like it from the outside but it does shock you! The bar is all round in the center which is very cool! The bartender was very nice and met the other one as she was there to have a drink on her day off she was very nice! The prices are not real expensive for beers, mixed drinks, or shots! Was my first time being here and was very impressed! Live down a block and half from it and might become my little hot-spot to have a drink or two after a hard days work! Oh one more thing can't say the f word in there it's cuz its a heritage thing of theirs I don't mind cuz I don't use it that much!!! If you do you could be kicked out!!!“
