“Nice neighborhood bar. Very friendly bartenders, clean! Great place to have a drink with very friendly patrons. Slot machines, darts and pool. Has a private party room free of charge. Just have to buy drinks from bar. Also you can bring in your own food for parties. Great place!!

“Stopped in for the first time last night. Joined a group already seated by the fire pit and I had mentioned to my group that my beer tasted funny, than a man got up and said please let me replace it. Turns out we sat by the owners. I still would of drank it and was a but embarrassed. We will definitely be back, staff was all friendly, the band was great and they have an amazing outdoor space. Thank you for the hospitality!!!!!“

“Alex treated us right at his fine mead establishment. After a glass of the purple moon, we couldn’t resist the urge to enjoy a flight of five other meads, which we throughly enjoyed. This is the best mead we have ever had and the beer is amazing too. Bootleg offers a cozy atmosphere with live music and great selection of music afterwards. We received a private viewing of the amazing grand Mississippi River too. Although we were just passing through, we will be back. We highly recommend Bootleg Hill Honey Meads. Oh, and did I mention they are one of three Meaderies in the State? Thanks Alex!“

“Something of a tap house and beer store. They had lots of product and the bar tender was patient in suggesting some good Hefeweisen options. If you visit, ask about their specials as they had an Irish Stout for $3 which I probably should have gotten“

“Steve's is great! The bartender Tammy was friendly and the patrons are very welcoming. I rarely get out much but when I do I enjoy a safe place with an engaging environment to spark up conversations with anyone in proximity and who will endure my silly conversations and Steve's provided that. Am going to keep Steve's on my go to list as a top choice the next time I feel like venturing out.“

“You’ll be hard pressed to find kinder, more skilled bartenders in the Quad Cities. Their patio is ideal and their old fashioned recipe is my favorite. Management works hard to keep both their staff and their patrons safe and comfortable. They’ll even hook you up with a pup cup for your pupperino.“

“My review is biased as this is the bar most of my friends visited growing up. It is a great local bar with friendly staff and stiff drinks. The pizza is the only thing I've eaten from the kitchen and is definitely worth trying. Get yourself a "doodler" (personal sized pizza big enough for 2-3 people) to try and you'll be hooked! I would love to rate it 5 stars, but I gave it 4 stars as the interior could be upgraded, but it is a bar after all.“
“Josh is amazing! During our weekend visit to support Randy Couture Xtreme Couture GI Foundation charity event, Josh took excellent care of our party. His backpack story is amazing. “Only good thing about this place is the view. Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. Needless to say I was pretty upset by the end of the night.“

“One of my favorite neighborhood bars! An old school atmosphere with memorabilia to remind you of all the good times. I love playing shuffleboard while there and the staff is awesome! Food never disappoints either so make sure to check out their specials!“

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed!There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. “We were in from out of town for a concert on 6/11 and wanted to go have a few drinks at a smaller bar so I typed in dive bars and this little place popped up so we gave it a try. This place did not disappoint! We were introduced to horse betting from the locals, (thanks Beau) and had a good bartender (thanks Josh) and all around a great time. Good laughs, cold beer, won some $ and had a few shots! Everyone one was very friendly and we will def be back to visit again!“

“What a breathtaking view! I was completely in awe of the expansive, colorful sky during sunset—it felt like the sky was putting on a show just for us. The location feels a bit unexpected for East Moline, but it’s definitely a welcome surprise. There’s a certain charm to this place, almost like discovering a hidden gem in an unlikely spot. The food was good, though fairly basic. I enjoyed my meal, but I couldn’t help but feel that the menu could use a more elevated touch to match the beauty of the surroundings. With such an incredible atmosphere, I expected a bit more creativity or flair in the dishes. Still, the experience was enjoyable, and the stunning view alone makes it worth a visit!
