Went to Tradecraft today and tried several different croissants all of which were amazing! I enjoyed chatting with Joe and can tell he definitely loves what he does. We are so fortunate to have such high quality French pastry in Morton. I’ll definitely be back!

Tradecraft Bakeshop offers the best croissants and pastries, described as amazing, incredible, and perfection. The high quality French pastry is a fortunate addition to Morton and the Peoria area, with pastries so good they rival those found in France. The croissants are a favorite, including the ham and cheese croissant, the chocolate almond croissant, the almond, and the raspberry and cinnamon options. The cinnamon rolls are also loved. Everything is done well, with a nice selection of nuanced and delicious pastries that are really light and not too sweet or salty. The viennoiserie is exceptional in terms of flakiness and overall texture.
The friendly owner clearly loves what he does. The shop is clean, but it is only for takeout. It is unquestionably worth the trip, though guests should get there quickly or pre-order as they sell out every weekend. This bakery has become a go-to, a place Central Illinois needed, where any other croissant just doesn't cut it.
