“Delicious food! Especially nice on a cold day. I appreciated that there was even a vegetarian item on the menu (a huge potato pancake with mushroom gravy), which was delicious. We also shared some sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese pierogies, which were also great. Also great was the mulled wine. They serve a lovely sourdough bread with an interesting spiced spread, but heads up to vegetarians -- the spread is bacon-based. But again, excellent bread. (As you can see, deliciousness was the theme.) The exterior of the restaurant is a little unassuming but the interior is like a cheerful cabin. Would definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Babcia's pancake, which is a potato pancake with mushroom gravy, served with 3 types of cold salad. There are also meatless pierogies: sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese (ask to be served without bacon garnish). There are also some salads on the menu which are vegetarian. I don't believe any of these dishes are vegan, though at least one of the salads could probably be made vegan if the cheese was left off.“
“After visiting the Czech Republic, I was craving authentic Czech goulash (which, in my opinion, is the best goulash in Europe). As someone living in the loop, I was willing to make the trip to the suburbs based on the authentic menu- the food exceeded expectations and was exactly like the goulash I had in Prague.We also had the schnitzel (pork), but was surprised they did not have a veal or beef option.Service was excellent and there is a nice bar with whatever game is on as well. Beer was appropriately priced and poured well.No doubt would come here again whenever I have a Czech cuisine itch to scratch.“

“I wanted to have an authentic polish experience with a friend and this place couldn’t be more authentic. From atmosphere to food to languages spoken, we felt like we were transported to another place. While the stuffed cabbage was our favorite, other food was good. We liked polish style goulash with pancakes, paczki (polish style donut) and rumbo (dessert with rum inside). Iced tea/fruit punch went well with all the food.We witnessed a long line form often with people buying bakery items and food to go. While we were among many who dined it was nice to be part of a busy cafe while enjoying our food. The staff were nice people and I want to come back again. Soup of the day is on my list to try plus other pastries.“

“Went in for lunch and had a polish sausage with caramelized onions, breaded pork chop, pierogis, and meat & mushroom sauerkraut. The sauerkraut and pierogis were divine. The sauerkraut is savory and bursting with flavor. Pierogis are a tradition in my family and these pierogis were great. They have a nice frozen variety of pierogis if you want to take some home. My girlfriend had the stuffed cabbage and she thought it was great. Will definitely be back for their fresh bread, pierogis and to try more delicious Polish food. Service was excellent, the place was run by 3 lovely Polish ladies. An older gentleman sat next to us and had gotten some cabbage soup that looked delicious. I'd love to try more of their food.Vegetarian options: There are some great cabbage dishes and other things just ask the nice ladies to point out the vegetarian dishes.Parking: It's a strip mall so tons of parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of sweets for kids, employees seemed like wonderful middle aged women they are probably mothers themselves.“
“This is a Polish grocery store and delicatessen, located in Wood Dale.Just off Irving Park Road, it is easy to find.We went there to order Polish sausage, both smoked and fresh, for Christmas dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and very filling. I tried the golabki with a side of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. I can’t wait to come back to try more dishes!“
“I almost hate to recommend this place because it is so good that I don't want everyone to find out and go there and then me not be able to get a table! The food was EXCELLENT, definitely a hidden gem. The servers were all very kind and efficient. Prices were quite reasonable for the great quality (and quantity!). It's a small restaurant with table service which I believe is first come, first served, and they also have a large freezer with many types of food off their menu that you can make at home. Seemed like there were quite a few people doing carry out as well. It is a cute place with lots of ethnic decor. I had the stuffed cabbage with a side of pierogi and my husband had a big platter with sausage, etc. - all delicious. The potato pancakes were perfect! We will definitely be back!“
“Very cozy atmosphere. The DJ present was an amazing dude! He looks young, but I heard he's over 60. He sure knows the best songs, but is willing to play custom requests. The staff as Hunters has been so friendly and accommodating that I felt like being around family. Wonderful people, wonderful place and I can't wait to go back there again. You won't be disappointed if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere, have a couple of drinks and dance the night away to 80s and 90s disco. The best!“

“Can't thank you enough for the amazing food delivered to us on 5/28 for our sons Baptism! We ordered the pierogi, pork tenderloins, saurkraut (sweet version), coleslaw, stroganoff, and other things and everything was DELICIOUS. The portions were also very generous as I ordered for 20 people and still had leftovers to have the guests take home. The delivery had impeccable timing, pulled up to the house at 3pm as requested. Thank you again, we will definitely be ordering again for the next special occasion.“

I would’ve given it five stars but the fries were over salted so much so I couldn’t eat them. All in all it was a good time. They delivered it to the bingo hall. That was a nice touch. “It's a buffet, ok... but, everything was well prepared and tasty. This was the Thanksgiving special. Make sure you have a look around before you get in line because they are not good at tactical positioning of things. There was a good selection of meats and sides, although I did not really notice any vegetarian option wasn't looking and nothing stood out. I only took off one star due to the cardinal sin of any eatery: cold plates.... otherwise, all good.“
“My favorite dish was the goulash. The meat is so tender and the sauce is the perfect flavor definitely want some mashed potatoes with this dish. My daughter loved the potato pancakes and my husband's favorite were the parogies. Service was awesome.“
