“Ten years ago began my obsession with Frank’s corn nuggets. In high school, every time I had a dollar to spend, I’d head to Frank’s for an order of corn nuggets. Any time anyone asks me what my favorite food is, for the past ten years it has been Frank’s corn nuggets. Today, for the first time ever, I ordered corn nuggets and they were sold out! I told the owner about my long-held love of these fried treats and how I now live in Wisconsin but often travel to Mundelein specifically to have them. He says he has been trying to get the product in but unfortunately couldn’t get his hands on them lately. I sighed, and ordered a corn dog (closest corn substitute on the menu), onion rings, and sweet potato fries. All were great! At the end of my meal the owner surprises me with a small order of corn nuggets he had searched his supply for after I told him my story. Just great people and great times at Frank’s for the Memories as always! Frank’s holds a space in my heart forever and always and while they don’t have the corn nuggets today I will continue to return for the care and welcoming feel they always provide.

“The car wash next-door is extremely loud. So she kept having me repeat my order. I asked her if she could hear me or if she would prefer I pull up to the window. With an attitude, she says “I CAN hear you!” I start repeating the order for the 3rd time and she says “can you speak a little louder? I can’t hear you.” No, but I can pull up to the window. I asked her to fry my shrimp fresh. Seafood is nothing to play with. I do not want shrimp that has been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for a rush. I wait at the window about 3 minutes and she passes me the bag. I say “wow that was fast”. Are these fresh? She said they’re good. I said “are they fresh?” She said you can check them. Check it for what “is it fresh or not?” I pull around to the front only to bite into a lukewarm shrimp. Shrimp freshly out the grease would’ve been burning my mouth. I didn’t have more time to waste with her, which is why I asked her to do it right the first time. Now I have to get out the car and go back in. She says “oh I thought it would’ve been good.” But I asked you specifically to fry the shrimp fresh! Tenders are also lukewarm warm. You cannot pile food up under a heat lamp more than a single layer and expected it to stay out of the temperature danger zone! The biscuit was actually cooked through and the sauces were correct.“
