Consistently delicious, always happy to come here! I usually get a Gordita Al Pastor and a steak taco or 2 with a horchata and it ALWAYS hits the spot. The ladies who take my order are all so friendly as well.(:
10/10 no notes. Authentic Mexican food with casual restaurant vibes. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Taco's El Norte is a gem of a family-run place with friendly service. The steak burrito and steak tacos are mouth-watering and to die for, reminiscent of the El Ferro style burrito. The chips and salsa included with the meal are pretty good, and the hot sauce is flavorful without being too spicy. The restaurant feels local, with lots of flavors in both chicken and steak tacos. The staff is always friendly, and the waitresses ensure a pleasant experience. The bathroom is very clean, adding to the positive atmosphere. No complaints here - the guacamole tastes fresh, and the food consistently exceeds expectations. It's a small space, but the delicious food and quick service make it worth the visit. Five stars are not enough for this Mexican restaurant in Mundelein, especially with the extremely reasonable prices. Parking can be odd shaped, but there is usually space available in the obscure plaza.
