Food came out cold and over cooked my pork steak was pork jerky and the pull chicken was so dry you need to pore a glass of water over it to swallow it. Over all one of the worst Bbq I ever ate and

We patronized the Marion location for years until it closed, but never this original location. We finally took the plunge and weren't disappointed. The food was awesome and in large quantities, The service was a little lackluster but that is probably because there was only one server and she had two tables outside. One thing I found amusing was this is the first BBQ restaurant I've been to that was playing reggae and ska.

Worst service ever! Come from out of town because I heard their food was good. I brought my “black” husband in and we were treated horribly. Waitress didn’t check on us at all. Asked for my check and waitress purposely said we’d have to wait. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in my life. So if you’re not white I’d definitely not recommend this place because they’re very racist. Also my whole family was food poisoned from this place

I got the pull pork sandwich and a side of Mac & Cheese. The Mac and cheese was good but the meat was really dry. Also you really had to add BBQ sauce to the meat to get seasoning/flavor. Perhaps I stopped by on an off day but it was not worth the drive to me. The waitress was nice and attentive. The person who sat us down kept using the same line for every table to get customers to buy their seasoning rub. Overall an okay experience.

It was a world-class barbecue, as always, and the service was more than fantastic. They were so friendly and welcoming and really went above and beyond, in our opinion. We had a large group with small children, and they really worked hard to make it a great experience for us. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love the history of this place.

I’m sorry but we ate the original restaurant before this one in Illinois. It wasn’t like the other place we ate at. I had pulled chicken, never seen anything like this hard to describe it was like very fine chopped chicken, almost like chicken dust I’m not kidding it was very fine chopped chicken with a vinegar after taste. My sweet potato was cut in half dry on top after sticking it with my fork it looked better barely melted the butter. I also had the garlic bread can’t tell you how bad that was,but it was pretty bad. My wife got the pork steak the first one was sent back it was so dry she couldn’t swallow it her sweet potato was worse than mine she didn’t eat the sweet potato, second pork steak that was brought out was thin and equally as dry. We were given a few slices of brisket now this was much better,we weren’t charged for the pork steak and was told that it was because they were training a new cook grill master I think he said. This wasn’t what we had on our first visit which was at a different location. We were travel to an event so she wanted to stop, because our first experience was excellent I can only say this much if Mike were alive he would be very disappointed in what we experienced today 05/24/24. I want to say I’m not trying to bash this establishment but the food we were served was the worst I’ve ever experienced.
