I was there last Saturday (10-11-25) and it was crazy busy! Even so, my waitress was super attentive and made sure we were taken care of! The food was delicious and the portion sizes are worth the price!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Food was pretty good, but I wouldn’t go back.

We sat in the back room. It was hard to find a table that was clean. There was one clean booth so we took it and immediately regretted it. The bench seats are wood and are about the most uncomfortable seats I’ve had in a restaurant. There was one clean table so we moved there.

Our server was terrible. After she took our order she never checked on us once. If we needed anything we had to flag down another server. They wouldn’t help us but they would find her and eventually she would come to our table.

The reviews of the chicken wings were good so I ordered those. They were ok. They did give me the chance to try the different sauces and I decided the magic dust was the best. For sides I had chili. It was bland and didn’t have enough meat. I also had bbq beans which were pretty good. My wife had a burger and fries and thought they were very good.

Fantastic atmosphere, no wait time, friendly staff, and fast delicious food! Allison, our waitress, was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave a perfect recommendation for a great meal!! I would 100% recommend!

The Food is great, the staff are friendly, and service is quality. As with any restaurant you're going to have busy times. They're pretty good about having enough staff during the busy times but there is a wait time. If you order a steak they cook it right then! Overall it's great food and a great atmosphere.

Allison was amazing at explaining the menu, specials, and the lure of 17th St. She was an excellent waitress. The food was equally delicious! Loved the homemade ranch, sauces, and large size (for a salad).

Fantastic food. I’d challenge you to find better barbecue anywhere. But, if you have somewhere you’d recommend, let me know. In the meantime, I’ll be coming back here.

Brisket was dry and probably from yesterday. Wings were okay but needed to cook longer. Service was sloooooow and took forever to get cashed out. Expected more from competition bbq

Food came out cold and over cooked my pork steak was pork jerky and the pull chicken was so dry you need to pore a glass of water over it to swallow it. Over all one of the worst Bbq I ever ate and

We patronized the Marion location for years until it closed, but never this original location. We finally took the plunge and weren't disappointed. The food was awesome and in large quantities, The service was a little lackluster but that is probably because there was only one server and she had two tables outside. One thing I found amusing was this is the first BBQ restaurant I've been to that was playing reggae and ska.

Worst service ever! Come from out of town because I heard their food was good. I brought my “black” husband in and we were treated horribly. Waitress didn’t check on us at all. Asked for my check and waitress purposely said we’d have to wait. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in my life. So if you’re not white I’d definitely not recommend this place because they’re very racist. Also my whole family was food poisoned from this place

I got the pull pork sandwich and a side of Mac & Cheese. The Mac and cheese was good but the meat was really dry. Also you really had to add BBQ sauce to the meat to get seasoning/flavor. Perhaps I stopped by on an off day but it was not worth the drive to me. The waitress was nice and attentive. The person who sat us down kept using the same line for every table to get customers to buy their seasoning rub. Overall an okay experience.

It was a world-class barbecue, as always, and the service was more than fantastic. They were so friendly and welcoming and really went above and beyond, in our opinion. We had a large group with small children, and they really worked hard to make it a great experience for us. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love the history of this place.
