She seems to be training a new waitress, taking a customer call on the phone seating and waiting on people doing a great job of multitasking all of it. “Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.”

Just today, I stopped in for lunch and was about to leave, and one of the servers, Omar, remembered me and congratulated me on another month sober and for making it through another year. 🥹 Not every restaurant has people working who remember the little details like that. “Valentine Day dinner and this place was swamped. The small staff was working hard and seated us in 5 minutes with out any reservation. We started with the Vegetable Spring Rolls which were good. Then we had Takoyaki, a softcrispy fritter like ball with a little bit of soft octopus inside like a cheese ball but with savory sauce instead of cheese. These are topped with a bit of sea weed and paper thin slices of smoked fish (bonito) which appear to be alive due to the heat of the hot fritters making them wave a bit when they brought them hot out of the fryer, amazingly cool presentation! You gotta try these. I had the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen but I asked if I could get it with Udon noodles instead, no problem. My spouse had Chicken Shoyu Ramen. Bother were outstanding in presentation and flavor. We come over from East Peoria and it is worth the trip to the Pekin Mall. My top pick in Central IL.”

“Omgersh....that was the best chicken burrito I have ever had! Just be careful of the juice dripping down! You'll want to eat that too. Eat it over the delicious chips and salsa! The salsa has a kick, but it's a kick that adds to the flavor! Definitely recommend. Worth the trip downtown.”

She went above and beyond, recommending food, drinks, and obviously enjoyed her job. The food was very good, but she made our date night special, and we'll be back to sit at her bar next time 💚”

“The food is easily a 10 out of 10. The service is exemplary, friendly and personal. I love eating there. The only con is the price of a Caesar salad, on our last visit my wife and I each got a Caesar salad to start our meal and the two salads alone was $25.00, everything else was inline with the service and atmosphere which is the best.”

The atmosphere is always friendly and old school customer service, the menu and food is awesome and they are over the top supportive of our Vets, active military and first responders. Travis, Melissa and Cameron take care of everyone that walks in the door. They are always “on mission” and it shows.”

“I love this place for ice cream- I do wish they had more seating inside, it’s just bulky chairs and tables and then sad to see a whole section just for gaming. Menu is huge but can be confusing, is it on the wall? Is it on the shield? Ice cream names are cute but idk what that name means flavor wise. A clearer menu with breakdowns of each ice cream would be great.”
