Food 8.5/10 Sauce 8/10 was flavorful but not spicy we got the Seoul spicy sauce they didn't have the bull sauce. The waffles are kinda small, it's two cut in half and each half was one bite. Ratio of waffles and chicken was not hitting. Service was eh, the nice cashier seemed new and asked us to repeat several times and or didn't know what was in the meal options. It was cold in the restaurant we dined in, hate being cold when eating. Personal preference. Would definitely go back. Wish there was an option to toss the chicken in sauce versus dipping.“

“Classic diner on historic route 66. Chicken basket was plentiful and priced right. Chicken was the juiciest fried chicken I have ever had, but not the best tasting. Still very good! The sides were off the chain. Great soup, mashed potatoes are a must have and the green beans were homemade. The service was a bit lack luster, but tolerable considering how dining out is these days (post covid). Definitely worth a visit.“

The new owners updated the bathrooms, looks like they expanded the kitchen and removed the dj booth. All probably good moves, based off of the history. The aaa staff was nice and engaging. The crowd for a bears Sunday was a lot lighter than the places previously iteration . That may be due to the bears sucking this year though. There was also less staff but enough for the limited crowd. For an ale works they had pretty standard beers on tap. Looked like only one rotating tap out of the 10 on the taps. Not a very deep option for beer needs. I do think any bar named Smitty's should have guineas on tap . I had the steak quesadillas. They were solid bar food. Overall thisplace is worth the stop but needs a bit more to stand out.“

When we order our food the waitress wanted to make sure if they have avocados available to prepare the "Avocado Toast" (small portions and no side dish along with it for the price). Two of us decided to order regular coffee, but they didn't have half and half or milk to bring over along with the coffee; instead they offered us a shot of baileys to flavor up our coffee, the sugar came in a shot plastic cup. I mean, the coffee suplies are basic that a restaurant needs to have at all times. Our waitress and the rest of the crew was nice and polite. The atmosphere, music and vibe were cool.“

Sandwich has three well sized chicken fingers wedged between a bun, I found it a bit dry. Although after reading comments, I should have asked for a side coleslaw. Next visit I'll ask for that and their dipping sauce to help keep it juicy. Chicken is crispy nevertheless and fries fresh so the food was a well earned four star.The staff here was great, easy to get along with and the clean up crew was busy keeping the dining area spotless.
