I visited this charming place with my friends this fall, and despite the post-summer lull, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who turned out to be an incredibly sweet lady. The atmosphere was inviting, and the owner's personal touch made our visit memorable. She generously allowed us to sample various candies, adding to the delightful experience. Came here twice in one week, both times after hiking through Matthiessen. Both times met with giant portions of delicious ice cream (double dark chocolate and raspberry cheesecake pictured). An absolute must for the area (as is Matthiessen!). Will have to try from the tempting assortments of chocolate and candies next

What a gem of a place to find while camping at Starved Rock! We enjoyed it so much we came back again the next day.
