“I just stopped in for lunch carryout, and I am beyond impressed. I picked up a chicken tikka masala rice bowl with a side of chicken samosas and sat down to eat -- the meal became the highlight of my work day.
The rice bowl came with more than enough food to bring some of it home to the family. I didn't offer any inputs on spice level or anything, and it came out with an excellent combination of proper heat and flavor; love was found in every spoon, and I can't wait to try more from their menu. The samosas are deliciously savory and have a nice crisp to them, and come with a sweet sauce that pairs very well. Their prices surprised me! ~$16 for enough food for two people!
I'm very happy, and will be coming back!“

The food quality is top-notch and everything is served in a very hygienic way. Best part – the dishes have those real, authentic flavours that you don’t find everywhere. “Tucked away from the main street in Devon is this humble place for some fantastic North Indian cuisine. Great authentic taste !!Had both the tandoori chicken and the chicken along with garlic naan and plain parathas and everything was delicious - Everything served hot and fresh. The tandoori chicken is made after ordering so will take approx 30 mins to be served but it’s worth the wait. The only thing that stuck out as an anomaly is the chicken looks more reddish than regular meat. It could be likely due to the red chilly spice used or maybe a little bit of food coloring ( not sure ).
This not a fine dine but a regular walk in restaurant with limited seating so pls set expectations accordingly. If you are a lover of Indian cuisine, highly recommend checking this out.“

“Stopped by for dinner and dropped about $35 on a Chicken Biryani and a side of Haleem. The biryani was packed with tender chicken and perfectly spiced basmati—not too heavy, just right. The haleem was rich and creamy, and the garlic naan was fresh. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was elegant but relaxed—felt like a little getaway to Devon Avenue’s best. Definitely coming back!“

“The best food in Devon, or I can say, the whole of Chicago!
If you’re looking for authentic Hyderabadi taste, this place is unmatched.
The flavors are rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and every dish tastes just like home.
Prices are very affordable, the food is always fresh, and the service is warm and welcoming.
I can visit here any number of times and never get bored. Highly recommended to all food lovers.“

“This is an amazing establishment in the Chicagoland area, and in my opinion the most authentic place to try delicious Pakistani food. My favorite was the biryani but it’s a hard choice between the other amazing dishes. It’s a must try restaurant and a great experience for group outings. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating with our specific requests. Overall great food and service, will definitely go again!“

“I’m so glad my friend recommended Zaika! The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, authentic, and full of rich flavors. Their dal has a comforting, homely taste, and the thin chapatis are just perfect. The lamb and goat curry were both outstanding—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the prices are surprisingly low for the quality and quantity of food they serve. It’s rare to find such authentic Indian cuisine at such an affordable price. Highly recommend!!!“

“We came here for dinner tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The best way to describe our meal is “elevated comfort food!” Everything we ordered, came out beautifully plated, very quick service, even with a full house, and very attentive staff. We ordered the spiced carrots, naan, brisket, and pork belly. All of them were delicious, and my favorite by far was the pork belly, perfectly seared and paired with an excellent sauce. The berry spritzer cocktail was refreshing and not too sweet, dessert was just right, overall fantastic experience. We will definitely come back!“

“The Thrupthi Foods Store - snacks side restaurant (back of the store) makes so mouthwatering Tandoori! This is our all time favorite and best item for weekend. Chicken Puff and Veg puff are so fresh and delicious . Also, I love the Alu tiki .It is so delicious and yum.
It is rare to have fresh and healthy Indian food in Chicago , fortunately you can find here . It is my number one to-go place to grab a mouthwatering snack and go. Even the biriyanis are really good. Overall food is much better than nearby Indian restaurants.“

“Stopped by Mehrab on Devon for a South Indian fix. Ordered the Cheese Dosa and Upma. The dosa was crispy with a generous cheese filling, and the upma had a comforting, homey taste. Spent around $30 and left full. Only downside: the service was a bit slow, and the place could use a little sprucing up. Still, the food hits the spot—worth a visit if you're in the area.“

“Rolled into Bawarchi around lunchtime with about $25 to spare and grabbed the chicken 65 and a veggie dosa combo. Food hit the spot—flavors were dope, staff was chill, though the seating area felt a bit basic and not super cozy. Portion size was solid, I even packed leftovers. Hit it for a casual lunch fix—just wish the vibe was a bit more polished. Still gonna swing back.“

“Does not make any sense that Dosa is a breakfast food but Dosa point doesn’t open until lunch time. I always crave it in the morning but waiting until 12:30 to have it for lunch is a buzz kill. Please consider changing the hours to open at a regular time like 10 am!“

“Just had a lunch at Arya Bhavan and it was chef’s kiss perfect. Went with the chole bhature combo—big, fluffy bhature and spicy, hearty chole. Also had a masala chai to wash it down. Everything was vegan, gluten-free, and packed with flavor. The vibe is low-key, the staff is super friendly, and the food is fresh and satisfying. If you’re craving real-deal Indian without the dairy, this spot’s a must-try.“
“Authentic taste, great portioning, clean, and simple. I had tasted such good Desi food only back home on grand occasions like weddings etc. This guy is simply magical. I tried Tala gosht, allo Qeema, and Aaloo Palak.... everything was awesome. And he has a good list of vegi choices too. Definitely going back.“

“What can you say? Best Indian food in Chicago (hands down!) and for a price that wont leave you broke (can add a little extra Aloo Gosht but thats neither here nor there lol). All of the staff is always friendly, ready to assist in making your experience great! I always go for the Samosas to start (Meat or Vegetarian ??) Aloo Gosht (not too spicy pero soy Mexicano I'm not shy either ??), Rice Pilaf, Naan/Parathas (Butter/Garlic ??) and a Mango Lassi (or two ????♂️➡️) and my day is cancelled after (laying down with leftovers). I have been going there for my birthday for years and it is a tradition I don't intend on stopping. If I could have Hema's everyday I wouldn't complain shoutout to the family holding it down for their culture's flavor. ?? “

“Great Experience!!!! Decent sized portions at a decent price and the staff was very respectful and friendly!!!! I will definitely put it on my agenda to go back even if I have to make special 2 hour trips from my house a couple times per year for that experience!!!! For many years in the early 1990’s I worked at Moti Mahal on Belmont for the Sikand family and while I have never found any Restaurants Chicken Makani as good as ours was when cooked by Chef Nano but Trilokah put a different spin on their version with a sauce probably not as sweet but while watching ones sugar that is good and this version had so much meat and I Loved That in an era currently where many restaurants try to cheat you on meat and add extra vegetables - I actually got a dish better than what I had hoped for! Just Awesome!!!!“

“Stopped by Delhi Darbar Kabab House for dinner and dropped about $25. Went with the Chicken Boti and a side of garlic naan. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor—perfectly charred on the outside, tender on the inside. Naan was soft and pillowy, just the way I like it. The vibe is low‑key but welcoming, and the staff made me feel right at home. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian and Pakistani eats, this spot's a must.“

“Stopped by Khan B.B.Q. for lunch—spent about $20 on a chicken boti platter with naan and daal fry. The chicken boti was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection in the tandoor. The naan was fresh and soft, perfect for scooping up the rich daal fry. The place has a no-frills vibe, but the food speaks for itself. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Definitely a solid spot for authentic Pakistani barbecue.“
