“Personally, I have never dined here but always order their eggless cakes for all events! They offer delicious cakes and are best in town when it comes to eggless variant. They offer many flavors ranging from Black Forest (my favorite), Mango, Butter Scotch, Gulab Jamun, Chocolate, etc. Must try this place if you want a cake from here! They also take pre-bookings for larger ones!“

“We visited Matka Khichdi for the first time and had a great experience! The Punjabi food was delicious and full of authentic Indian flavors. For the first time in Chicago, we had such amazing Punjabi food—especially the Kaju Curry, which was outstanding! Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. We’ll definitely be coming back. “Awesome food, the staff was very kind and considerate of dietary restrictions (allergies), and the service was great as well. Highly recommend the paneer tikka kebab, which was suggested to me by the staff!
Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options at this restaurant, an entire section of the menu is devoted to vegetarian food. I personally had paper dosa and paneer tikka, both of which are vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: I have nut and sesame allergies, and the staff was very considerate of these issues.“

“I recently visited this restaurant and one of the best things I tried was their cheese chilli toasty. It was honestly my favorite item on the menu. The bread was perfectly toasted and crispy on the outside while the inside was filled with melted cheese and spicy green chillies. The combination of the creamy cheese and the slight heat from the chillies made it taste really flavorful.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and comfortable, and the service was friendly. Overall, I had a great experience, but the cheese chilli toasty was definitely the highlight for me. I would definitely recommend trying it if you visit this place.“

“Warm Hospitality as always...It always feels worth driving almost 4 hours when the humble owner and her staff serve you food with smile on their faces. We visit Schaumburg very often and when we do, we try to visit Sattvik almost every day. The food, the ambience and their hospitality will make you crave for more visits.
We got to meet the owner herself during this trip and no wonder why her staff provides excellent service because she herself is so polite, down to earth and provides warm hospitality. All these reflect in their food, so fresh and delicious. We left from Iowa for Schaumburg and on way my wife got to know their menu for the day is based on Rajasthani theme, we immediately changed some plans around and made a reservation because she is fond of Rajasthani dishes. The food was delicious and when they found out about her birthday week, they brought us gulab Jamun on the house. Me and my son had other dinner plans so this time we didn't join for thali but the owner and her staff still offered us to have something and try Rajasthani food.
Oh and needless to say, their live pani puri will take you back to Gujarat :) Keep up the great work Sattvik, we are so happy to have found an option as good as home cooked food. We made reservations for Saturday and Sunday lunch again, we are that much hooked with Sattvik so you will have to see us today and tomorrow again. Kudos to the owner and her entire team.“

“Dining Experience On Thursday, September 4, 2025 :👇🏽 We truly enjoyed our visit to Chennai Central .If you're a fan of South Indian cuisine, this is definitely a place worth visiting! We tried Chennai Central's Thursday Chaat & Dosa Buffet Launch, and it was an exceptional experience! The event drew a huge crowd, but the efficient service ensured that everyone had a great time. The ambiance of the dining room was also noteworthy, with nicely designed partitions that provided a sense of privacy, making it comfortable for guests to enjoy their meals without feeling crowded. The food spread was truly impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that were fresh, authentic, and flavorful, all served piping hot. The highlight of our meal was the freshly steamed idlis, which were soft and fluffy. Our server, Sai, politely informed us about the batch, and it was a treat to enjoy them straight from the steamer. This attention to detail reminded me of my family's restaurant, where my dad would famously say, "Idlis are never sitting around waiting for customers; instead, our customers patiently wait for fresh idlis steamed to order!" It's a reminder to appreciate the value of slow, carefully prepared meals, resonating deeply with my father's motto at Chowpatti Vegetarian Restaurant - "what we cook at home for the four of us, is now being cooked for all of us in this dining room." Chennai Central's team clearly shares a similar commitment to quality. The medu vadas were superb, with my mom remarking that they were as good as, or possibly even better than, the ones she prepares at home. The Pav Bhaji was another standout dish, with a perfect balance of spices and a delightful Bombay punch - kudos to Chef Ramesh for his exceptional preparation! We also enjoyed the freshly grilled to-order home-style dosas, served with delicious sambhar and a variety of yummy chutneys. The kesari dessert was a perfect finish to our meal, with a smooth texture and just the right amount of sweetness. What made our experience even more special was the outstanding service provided by two friendly and accommodating servers, both named Sai. They were attentive, smiling, and ensured that everyone in the dining room had a great experience. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Dining Experience On August 20,2025 : 👇🏽 I had the pleasure of visiting Chennai Central on their very first opening day August 20,2025 and I was thoroughly impressed! The ambiance was clean and inviting, with comfortable furniture that set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the evening. The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the Masala Dosa served with three delicious chutneys that burst with authentic, bold flavors. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the personal touch from Chef Divakar and Chef Ramesh, who made rounds through the dining area to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. They even took the time to share tips on how to properly enjoy their famous layered Parottas with Korma gravy, the authentic way – by generously smothering the Korma onto the Parottas and letting the rich flavors soak in before digging in, a delightful touch! We discovered that this is a chef-owned and operated restaurant, and it's clear that their passion for authentic South Indian cuisine shines through in every dish they serve. The vegetarian biryani was particularly noteworthy – it was flavorful, comforting, and satisfying. Every bite was a testament to the freshness and care put into preparing each dish. I'm already planning my next visit – it was that good! If you're looking for authentic South Indian cuisine with a personal touch, Chennai Central is definitely worth a try.“

“If you enjoy authentic Indian food and don’t mind a bit of spice, this place is absolutely worth visiting. The whole pomfret fish fry is seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection—easily one of the highlights. The goat keema is another must-try entrée, packed with flavor and paired perfectly with their soft, well-made naan.
They’ve also recently added street-style Chinese dishes, and those are surprisingly amazing as well. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone craving bold, flavorful food!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute gem in Villa Park! Hyderabad House is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Every single dish we tried was incredible — the butter chicken was rich and flavorful, the naan was perfectly soft and warm, and the veggie samosas had the perfect crunch with a beautifully spiced filling. I’m still dreaming about the Dahi puri, which was an explosion of textures and flavors, and the chicken 65 roll might be the best I’ve ever had. The seasoning on everything was spot on — bold, aromatic, and just the right amount of heat. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and we felt genuinely cared for from the moment we walked in. A special shoutout to the owner Bella, who was such a delight to talk to — her passion for great food and hospitality really shines through. If you’re anywhere near Villa Park, run — don’t walk — to Hyderabad House. This place is a must-try for anyone who loves authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine done right.“
