“We were visiting the area with the Sand Prairie Farm staff, and were delighted to find Cochiros, pizza was great, service very friendly, and atmosphere was very local and friendly, it has been about 20 years from seeing the Cochiros bros, and sorry we missed them!“
“Went in for a quick personal pan pizza for lunch. Tony was working the counter and helping out with the Drive thru as well. This guy was amazing. Even made sure that the pizzas didn't come crashing out of the oven. With a heavy flow of traffic for lunch he took care of everyone and I got my pizza in a reasonable amount of time. The menu is not large because it is a pizza hut express sharing a store with Taco bell.for a quick bite for lunch...definitely a place to grab some food.“

“A solid pizza that's worth adding to your rotation. We got a deep dish pepperoni for takeout, so I can't speak to the interior. But the sauce and pepperoni were fantastic. Basically the same thing as Pequod's. The big difference is the crust. While Pequod's crust is very airy and crunchy, Burt's crust has less rise. I really liked it, but it was probably thicker than it needed to be. It loses one star because the carmelized crust was straight-up burnt. I love Pequod's outer ring of crispy cheese, Burt's edges were charred to tastelessness. I was bummed about that. Still, Burt's was a tasty treat. It's great to have another standout option in the Chicago area pizza pantheon!“

“This place was delicious! We got the bbq chicken and gyro pizza as well as the combination gyro/chicken over rice. The pizza was made to near perfection, had a good crunch with an impactful flavor. The rice dish was good; it was very flavorful, but I think the meat to rice ratio was a bit off (needed more rice) and I wish the pita was toasted rather than microwaved. Aside from that I was very happy with everything and will definitely be back!“

“I had a great time at La Parra! It's located in Berwyn and has street parking that I had no trouble finding right in front of the restaurant. They're known for their creative cocktails which they feature on their Instagram page. The staff right away were super friendly and welcoming and our waiter did a nice job of reviewing their current special cocktail menu. I ordered the "mezcalito" I believe he called it, which was made with mezcal, lime juice, and fresh fruit juices (I know one was passion fruit!). This drink was amazing and so up my alley since I loveee mezcal and anything fresh and sweet. The overall atmosphere felt casual and comfortable. Tapas are on the menu so shared meals are encouraged. I ordered the chicken a la limon but I swapped the mashed potatoes for crispy Yukons. The potatoes were pretty good and the chicken was cooked well. I wasn't entirely blown away with what I ordered, but it was a good meal and the drinks and service were definitely 5-star worthy“

“This was my first visit and I was a little overwhelmed. I came for a slice for lunch and was amazed by all the options. Fresh pasta, chicken parm, sandwiches, calzones and so much more all ready to go. I ordered my pizza and there was a cannoli in front of me in the case so I had to get that. While I was waiting for my pizza to be warmed up I admired the Gelato selection and ended up adding on a half pint of key lime pie Gelato. The slice, cannoli and Gelato came to $15. All of the food was amazingly delicious. I'll definitely go back soon to try more.“

“This redeems pizza for the area! What attracted us was the brussels and they did not disappoint (10/10). Ive been in downers grove for 12 years and tried most of dupage and suburban cook pizza places. Significant other grew up in chicago and loves Colutta’s and Art of Pizza. He’s a tough sell and was seriously impressed! The crust holds up to the ingredients on it and proportions of sauce and toppings were good. We did the brussels (so much flavor and a huge portion), PA pizza (perfect amount of heat and flavor and homemade sausage is mouthwatering) and a pepperoni (the picky toddler devoured)- would order all again. Will be back!! Too tasty to stop for a picture!“

“I am a foodie and hail from New Delhi, India. I can definitely vouch for this restaurant being not only the best Indian restaurant in Chicago but in all of North America. The owner Mr. BK Bajaj is kind and a great chef with compassion and cooks food as if you’re his guest at his home with love. Will definitely come here every time I visit Chicago. And definitely be here tomorrow again.“

“Love this deli so much I happily drive from Oak Lawn to get there. The Primo panini is my favorite but they are all top tier. Their canoli are quite possibly the best I have ever had. I buy two of their easter pies every year and my family goes nuts for them. If you haven't stopped in you are missing out big time. The staff is very friendly and warm like being around family.Parking: Free parking up and down the block both sides of the street“

“Celebrated my bday on Monday . Food was delicious as always , waitress was pleasant and very attentive. The only reason I am giving 4 stars it’s because the hostess was very rude and ignorant. If you having a bad day maybe next time take a day off . No one wants to see your attitude.“

“Not around the corner from me, but definitely worth the drive. The pizza crust is the perfect amount of thin and fluffy with a slight sweetness to the dough. The crust is beautifully crispy and yet tender! Tonight we had the bruschetta mix which is a choice of 3 different bruschetta of our choosing. We tried the traditional, the caponata, and the Rockefeller. I really liked the Rockefeller which is a nice combination of spinach, Swiss and Asiago cheese. We ordered the Mediterranea Salad and it was so pretty. The salad was dressed well with just the right amount of sun-dried tomatoes and Kalamata Olives. I am not a personal fan of olives, but these had some really nice flavor to them. The pizza we ordered a traditional Margherita which was with a red sauce and the Biancaneve which is with a white sauce. Even though the ingredients were similar they tasted completely different and so good! I wish there was more cheese on both pizzas. They seemed weirdly dispersed so some slices only had a few 1/2 pieces. They do use fresh mozzarella in both these pizzas so don't expect to have that cheesy pull of shredded mozzarella. We sat in the side room which had a big screen on one side and there were music videos being played. Since the restaurant wasn't very crowded the music seemed really loud making it a bit hard to have a conversation. We were seated at the far end of the room, close to the restrooms and the music was still loud. The service was spot on. Our server checked back often, she gave us time to look over the menu and she didn't rush us as we were thinking about each course. Next time we will have to try dessert. The crepes sound delicious.“

“Sunday lunch was a wonderful experience for several reasons. The restaurant was open according to their posted store hours. A few years ago, this would have been a silly compliment. But these days, we have had several encounters in which we would arrive at an eatery and notice the doors are still locked even though it's past their usual store open hours. Needless to say, service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our party of six shared the smoked trout dip, calamari, charred pepperoni pizza, white mushroom and truffle pizza, Italian cheesecake, and tiramisu. The smoked trout dip is a tad high on sodium but I really like how it was served with flaxseed crackers. The pizza are served Romana style, therefore rectangular and fluffy. The crust is thin but with a crunch. Even better, they are half-price on Sundays!“

“What a great experience. One of our daughters is gluten intolerant, and it was a delight to see a pizza place that took gluten intolerance seriously. We had a group of eight with seven different pizzas and everything came out in a timely fashion and was delicious. The highlight of the evening was the friendly & attentive service from Danielle. Highly recommended! #GlutenFree #GreatService“

“This is the first time we've had Serinos. The subs are amazing. The bread soft and the meats sliced thin makes for a great sub. The cheese brick oven is our sons favorite. The potato and macaroni salads are so tasty. Desserts fantastic. We love Serinos and is now our favorite deli. Great staff. Keep up the perfect work! Almost forgot the chicken salad. The best chicken, not fatty or too thick. Perfect seasonings. Hard to find a great chicken salad like my own home made, but Serinos is great!“

“Definitely one of the top 5 pizza slices I have ever had. The jumbo slice is not only the biggest slice I have had, they have to cut it in half for you to really enjoy. I had the garlic dressing for the salad and it was amazing. I can't wait to try out the other items in menu. Best of all the workers are really nice, I Think it maybe a family owned business where you get that personal attention unlike corporate restaurants. Definitely going again.“

“The food was good. Reasonable prices and the owners are magnificent. Everybody there. It's a good place to be very friendly. Very the service is good. Everybody can't complain about nothing. And thank God, their prices were so low that I had to ask the waitress if she forgot to add something to do and she said no, that's the price, I said you can't even go to McDonald's for the price, and it was good food. So I'm very happy and I will definitely go back and back and back.“

“Good spot... walking in.. it's really busy with a small bar and many tables surrounding/ exposed brick walls. Nice wine list with some good Italian bottles. Good menu with half a dozen apps, homemade pasta dishes & entrees! They also had an excellent *Specials Menu* she said. Started with a couple of glasses of Barbera and some baked clams with the bread of course. Great wine & clams were on the smaller side with an excellent sauce! They are known for their homemade pasta and I decided to try the special. This was a Jalapeño Gnocchi in a Vodka Cream sauce with Corn, etc... it was excellent, cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Molten Chocolate Cake which was also very good & great ice cream. Waitress was very good & prices are a bit above average but worth it/ you can taste the quality ingredients for sure! Close it out with some Limoncello Shots// talk later“

“Ordered for the first time. This is legit thin crust pizza and I'm a pizza lover who mostly stays clear of crispy/cracker thin crust. I'd give it a 4.5/5, the crust is delicious and very thin, but without the burnt/dry taste that you might fear with a crust so thin. Half sausage, half pepperoni. Good crispy pepperoni cups and generous sized sausage pieces distributed. I think I'd prefer a litt bit more cheese but I still very much enjoyed it. It reminds me a little of Marie's Pizza & Liquors in Chicago. One challenge to navigate with pickup is getting it home fast enough to eat while it's still hot due to how quickly it cools. Want to try it a few more times before giving it a 5/5.“

“I didn't expect much when we stopped in on a Sunday right around lunchtime and no one was there other than a few in the bar. We ended-up very pleasantly surprised as the menu was quite extensive and everyone could find something to eat. We had two people get personal thin pizzas and one kid burger sliders and one adult chicken Parm sliders. Add a few cups of soup and some sodas and we were set. The chicken was very tasty and you got three good size ones with fries so I had one left to send for lunch with the kids. The waitress was lovely and understanding of kids who took forever to choose! We will definitely be back!“

“I couldn't have picked a better place for my first official Chicago pizza experience - though unassuming at first glance, the food hit all the right notes. My pizza had a perfect thin crust that wasn't tough or too hard, but could still stand up to the toppings. Both the cheese and sausage had great flavor, and neither was greasy. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, and wasn't too acidic. The slices were large but surprisingly light. While I can't eat beef, I tried a bit of the bread, peppers, and giardiniera from the Italian beef sandwich and it was all delicious. The prices were very reasonable and everything came out super quick. Apart from the food, what really made Gigio's stand out to me was the staff. This is a true community restaurant - they actually know and care about their customers. They remembered my dad even after 30+ years, both Vito and Mama Nitti came out to chat with us and ask about how our family was doing. They even remembered how my grandfather used to order his pizzas back when they lived in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a mom and pop restaurant with delicious pizza and a great local feel, Gigio's is the place for you!“

“Monzano salad was delicious. Pasta w vodka sauce tasty, if not too exciting. Meatballs were tender and very good. Lentil soup was fantastic, flavorful though not very hot. Service was ok. “Open, very, summery atmosphere! Feels like you're grabbing dinner on vacation to places like Palm Beach or Miami. Such a great place for a brief escape from Chicago winters. Elegant but still casual. Bright colors, nothing dark and dingy like several if the more old school Italian restaurants. Food is excellent! A good variety. I had the linguine with clans and I loved how it wasn't saturated in butter and garlic. Tasted like it does in Italy! Bread was fresh, beet salad was surprisingly delicious, and the Gelato was some of the best I ever had. We got hazelnut and pistachio. Coffee was good and strong. Service was good though we had to ask for several things which should have been already at the table, like grated cheese, salt and pepper, sharing plates should have come with the dessert as they gave enough spoons to know we were all sharing, etc. I've been here when it's jam packed and the service has always been great! This time it was less busy and we had to ask the bus boy for things. But, that being said, the waitress was very polite and immediately took care of requests when she was present. I wanted a table by the window and the host willingly accommodated us by making a 4 top for us. One plus from coming on a lesser busy time was that it was much quieter,l. Usually it's pretty loud in there when it's busy. But I always appreciate the uplifting vacation like atmosphere! I've never been disappointed, and this is probably my 4th time eating at Lucia Rose and will not my last.“

“Panino's Pizzeria was, frankly, a very pleasant surprise. We agreed to meet friends here - they had recommended it. It looked like so many run-of-the-mill pizza/Italian food joints in the Chicago area, that we weren't expecting much. Boy, were we wrong. This is NOT nouvelle cuisine Italian-style, but rather stereotypical, Italian-American food that is hearty and quite tasty. Gratis bread to start the meal, followed by pork meatballs in red sauce and burrata. My wife had the lasagna - very nice portion, and I had the pork chops with broccoli. The wait staff (Fred) was bend over backwards accommodating us. The fried dough with chocolate was amazing. The prices are moderate. And none of us had pizza! We're certain to return to try some (they serve several styles). Huge thumbs up!“
