“Took the family there for dinner for the first time, we had the fried calamari, cheese sticks and the meat lovers pizza which were all very good. However they seemed to be a little unorganized in the "service" department, we didn't see our server for at least 10 minutes after being seated, waited a little longer for our food and drinks but overall it was a good experience.“
“Great food, and the employees are all working hard. I see a lot of negative reviews from Karen types, people not understanding how coupons work and wanting things for free because they don't understand expiration dates or terms, people with that "the customer is always right" mentality expecting to be babied. It is a suburban location so none of this is surprising. But it has driven the rating of this restaurant way lower than it should be. If you like good food and you're a decent human being then check out this spot.“
“A solid pizza that's worth adding to your rotation. We got a deep dish pepperoni for takeout, so I can't speak to the interior. But the sauce and pepperoni were fantastic. Basically the same thing as Pequod's. The big difference is the crust. While Pequod's crust is very airy and crunchy, Burt's crust has less rise. I really liked it, but it was probably thicker than it needed to be. It loses one star because the carmelized crust was straight-up burnt. I love Pequod's outer ring of crispy cheese, Burt's edges were charred to tastelessness. I was bummed about that. Still, Burt's was a tasty treat. It's great to have another standout option in the Chicago area pizza pantheon!“
“I absolutely loved visiting! Pizza was amazing and the hospitality was unmatched! We tried slices of so many different varieties and couldn’t decide on our favorite! The salad and asparagus were so refreshing and brought the perfect balance to our meal. I can’t wait to come back!! If you are anywhere near Evanston you need to stop by, and if not you need to add this to your travel list!“
“The El Juez tequila drink is a masterpiece; it's got perfect hints of cucumber that blend harmoniously making every sip feel luxurious thanks to an exceptional balance between sugary content without overdoing both aspects so you can savour each moment in pure delight.“
“It's always hard to write a review when you solely travel for one dish. Said dish has to be an amazing to justify the trip right? The "Pa" pizza was a nice detour from my normal Chicago destination for tavern style. The candied jalenos paired nicely but were a bit overpowering. It's worth mentioning that spice level was quite bareable also. Where dough lost a star was the other half of my pizza which was solely garlic & cheese. Crusty could've used a tad bit more "cracker like crust but a regular pizza from here was just that, Regular. Nothing worth mentioning at all. If I'm in the area, maybe a trip to Brookfield I'd indulge but going forward Chicago has some steep completion in closer proximity for za.“
“A friend told me about this neighborhood gem. I'm blown away by the friendly atmosphere and staff. If you're looking for something special and authentic this is the place to visit. Everything made in-house and freshly prepared with care and love“
“Super fun joint. A lot of good vibes and reasons to hang around. The food, overall, was tasty, but the pizza left some to be desired. You can tell they put great care and detail into every decision. The pizza just didn't do it for me. Could've been the bold claim of "best cheese pizza in Chicago." I appreciate the bravado, but unfortunately, it came with little fanfare.“
“Love this deli so much I happily drive from Oak Lawn to get there. The Primo panini is my favorite but they are all top tier. Their canoli are quite possibly the best I have ever had. I buy two of their easter pies every year and my family goes nuts for them. If you haven't stopped in you are missing out big time. The staff is very friendly and warm like being around family.Parking: Free parking up and down the block both sides of the street“
“The Wolfhound Pub offers a delightful experience with its exceptional food and cocktails, especially noteworthy are their espresso martinis and lemon drops which are truly outstanding. Brendan, Emily, and the entire staff create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making patrons feel right at home. Whether you're stopping by for a meal or drinks, expect nothing less than a consistently fantastic time at The Wolfhound.“
“Celebrated my bday on Monday . Food was delicious as always , waitress was pleasant and very attentive. The only reason I am giving 4 stars it’s because the hostess was very rude and ignorant. If you having a bad day maybe next time take a day off . No one wants to see your attitude.“
“If you want true Italian cooking and a friendly atmosphere, then Mangia Napoli is the place. I cannot express enough how great the food is! Thank you to Fonz, Eddie & Vinnie for the excellence in food. Fonz the Zuppa you prepared for our anniversary was beyond excellent! Many thanks“
“Sunday lunch was a wonderful experience for several reasons. The restaurant was open according to their posted store hours. A few years ago, this would have been a silly compliment. But these days, we have had several encounters in which we would arrive at an eatery and notice the doors are still locked even though it's past their usual store open hours. Needless to say, service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our party of six shared the smoked trout dip, calamari, charred pepperoni pizza, white mushroom and truffle pizza, Italian cheesecake, and tiramisu. The smoked trout dip is a tad high on sodium but I really like how it was served with flaxseed crackers. The pizza are served Romana style, therefore rectangular and fluffy. The crust is thin but with a crunch. Even better, they are half-price on Sundays!“
“Wow...the shrimp appetizer is pretty awesome! Completely blown away by the Ravioli w/ spinach and mushrooms!!! Both are dynamite...highly recommend them! Our server was the best too! She recommended the shrimp...very grateful for that recommendation! We'll definitely be back soon!!!“
“I love paulie gee's! So many good, unique vegan pies. I try to avoid Thursday nights since it's trivia night and it is ROWDY, but also if that's your thing definitely check it out everyone seems to have a great time! Bartenders are always wonderful, great jov all around.“
“These guys nailed the Indian-fusion food! Simple but excellent adaptations of classic favourites from Indian, Korean, American, Mexican, Italian cuisines (and then some!)We tried the vada pav (Indian burger with stuffed fried potato patty, spices etc) tacos samosa and chicken tikka were both delicious! Momos (potstickers), thin crust pizza, and samosa chaat (smashed samosas with chickpeas, chutneys, onions etc)Pleasantly surprised every dish done just perfectly with its own twist on the original. And lovely presentation. They have an ice cream station (not to be missed!)The place is casual, perky and fun… Absolutely try this place out.“
“This pizza pie is so very delicious. Imagine good dough rolled out thin topped by tangy sauce and thin coating of cheese with flavorful Italian sausage in hand formed balls. I haven’t been excited by a pizzeria near me for quite some time. Did I mention chewy crust. I also tried their deep fried cauliflower with garlic Ali oil. Golden crisp heads of cauliflower served with your choice of sauce. My next adventure I will try the Cesar salad and another flavor of pizza ... can’t wait. Love me some Logan Square pizza..“
“Best local spot for gelato or food!! They always have a huge variety of gelato and ice cream flavors. I love coming here, the portions are always big as well. Their food is served hot and tasty! I also really like the small and intimate environment. I always have great service!“
“We had eaten at a Lou Malnati’s several years ago and didn’t care for the pizza we had tried. But since we’ve heard so many people rave about their pizza, we decided to give the place another try this last time we were in Chicago. The restaurant has plenty of seating, but going late on a Thursday night meant the place was pretty empty. We had prompt service, but the pizza does take time to make. Plan on at least 30 minutes to get it delivered to your table. We ordered the Malnati Chicago Classic and added mushrooms. I’m not a big fan of sausage, so I was a bit hesitant to order it. However, I really enjoyed the pizza overall. The sausage wasn’t overly strong, and the tomato sauce had a wonderful sweetness to it. The crust was cooked to perfection, and the mozzarella cheese was plentiful. So did this pizza measure up? Absolutely! We will definitely be back!“
“When in Chicago, you can't skip on this place. The pizza was amazing. This was my first time trying Deep Dish (Chicago Style) pizza, and I'm glad I went with the best for my first time. We also had the fried mozzarella and the bruschetta. The Bruschetta is nicknamed "The Best" and after having it, I now know why. Our waitress was super nice. She was an older lady with a Boston accent but she was so funny and took really good care of us.“
“Best vpn pizza in the aria.. staff is on top of everything and service is great , fast quick and fresh then going there for years love it I just wish they would change up their money once in a while introduce new pizzas introduce new dishes but it’s 100% “
“We hosted my son’s communion party at Porretta’s last May and we were very satisfied with everything, so we decided to cater for my mother’s birthday party. We ordered a few days prior and John was able to accommodate us in spite of the short notice. We had it delivered on time and with care. All the food was delicious but our guests especially raved about the Rigatoni Vodka and the mini meatballs.I am already planning our next celebration and will be using Porrettas catering once again!“
“I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza, and oh. my. goodness. It was love at first bite! The crust was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. And the cheese? Melted to perfection! ?And let's not forget the prices! So affordable and worth every penny. I'll definitely be back for more. ?In short, Halal Pizza Point is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious, authentic halal pizza. Don't miss out! ? 5/5 stars ?"“
“A fantastic place to have deep dish pizza in Chicago! A friend recommended this as we are from out of country. Would definitely come back again for their deep dish pizza stuffed crust. Their pizza crust is the best thing another the pizza (I personally don’t eat crusts on pizza, but here, it’s my favourite part). We also had a side of parmesan garlic fries and a Caesar salad which were a fantastic addition. Thanks Dimitri for the fantastic service!“
“Good spot... walking in.. it's really busy with a small bar and many tables surrounding/ exposed brick walls. Nice wine list with some good Italian bottles. Good menu with half a dozen apps, homemade pasta dishes & entrees! They also had an excellent *Specials Menu* she said. Started with a couple of glasses of Barbera and some baked clams with the bread of course. Great wine & clams were on the smaller side with an excellent sauce! They are known for their homemade pasta and I decided to try the special. This was a Jalapeño Gnocchi in a Vodka Cream sauce with Corn, etc... it was excellent, cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Molten Chocolate Cake which was also very good & great ice cream. Waitress was very good & prices are a bit above average but worth it/ you can taste the quality ingredients for sure! Close it out with some Limoncello Shots// talk later“
“The food is authentic Italian and is delicious, especially the Rigatoni Con Sugo Di Carne! You can dine in to enjoy pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. It's in the center of a strip building between other restaurants that look alike so it's kind of hard to notice. In fact, I was told about the place and I live six blocks from it and drive by it almost every day.I have not tried the pizza since the Rigatoni is so good. If you like genuine Italian food, try it. You will return!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs look like they can roll right in. It's all ground level.“
“I've been to Dolce many times. The food is outstanding! The atmosphere is great and normally the service is excellent. This night in particular the service was a bit disappointing but we still had a great time celebrating my mom's 86th birthday.“
“Tried this spot out and it was really good! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Inside was clean and neat, and TV was running with a sports channel on. The menu has a lot of good Halal pizza options with various sizings. Tired the taco and bbq chicken pizza and was really tasty from here. Check them out!“
“We went to celebrate my 50th Birthday, the establishment was suggested to us by a family member. The service was excellent, the staff is very well trained. The food was affordable and delicious, on point !!! Highly recommend it. Besides everything been good, the highlight for me was seen how one of the owners was going table to table asking her guest how everything was and how she was engaging with everyone as if there were family members joining her for dinner.“
“Ordered for the first time. This is legit thin crust pizza and I'm a pizza lover who mostly stays clear of crispy/cracker thin crust. I'd give it a 4.5/5, the crust is delicious and very thin, but without the burnt/dry taste that you might fear with a crust so thin. Half sausage, half pepperoni. Good crispy pepperoni cups and generous sized sausage pieces distributed. I think I'd prefer a litt bit more cheese but I still very much enjoyed it. It reminds me a little of Marie's Pizza & Liquors in Chicago. One challenge to navigate with pickup is getting it home fast enough to eat while it's still hot due to how quickly it cools. Want to try it a few more times before giving it a 5/5.“
“We saw that Chicago's Pizza offered a Mickey Mouse for children that they could build themselves and decided to take our children so they could have the experience. For our ourselves, we got a deep dish pizza, thin crust pizza, and fried cauliflower. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of our food, which was very tasty (and we had gone only for the kids' pizza). They're focaccia was superb. Unfortunately, the restaurant sent us Mickey Mouse pizzas that were already made (not made by our kids). Other parents will understand how your dinner experience is affected when you've promised a 5-year-old something all day and then that thing doesn't come to fruition-it ruins your dinner. The staff were nice and accommodating, and they did what they could to help, including bringing out dough balls to make it seem to our kids like they were making the actual pizza. In the end, it worked. However, the dinner was a lot more tense than it should have been feel (and contentious amongst the parents). This is a situation that should've been handled by management. If the place is going to cater to children, there are the sort of things that it must stay on top off. Most parents can overlook a flawed pizza, but not a child crying over dinner.“
“We stopped in when they were close to closing time and the place was empty. But they were still welcoming and chill about us grabbing a few slices and a beer to put down. We tried the sausage and the All the Right Moves. Both were delicious. Probably one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had as well - perfect blend of crispy and chewy. I would gladly visit again to try some of the other pizzas!“
“Last Friday my wife and I dropped into Joes for the first time and we weren’t disappointed! We were greeted by friendly staff and live music! David was our server and he was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had great food recommendations! My wife and I tried a few appetizers and the pizza. Everything we ate was delicious! This place is a 10/10 and we will definitely be going back!“
“I didn't expect much when we stopped in on a Sunday right around lunchtime and no one was there other than a few in the bar. We ended-up very pleasantly surprised as the menu was quite extensive and everyone could find something to eat. We had two people get personal thin pizzas and one kid burger sliders and one adult chicken Parm sliders. Add a few cups of soup and some sodas and we were set. The chicken was very tasty and you got three good size ones with fries so I had one left to send for lunch with the kids. The waitress was lovely and understanding of kids who took forever to choose! We will definitely be back!“
“Love how calming and futuristic the placed looked. Didn’t have anywhere to eat though. The food was very delicious. I recommend to get the meal from take a bao eats and get the crispy spicy Aioli chicken bao was super good. As for the service, everything is digital all you have to do is wait for the food which isn’t long of a wait. A lot of different foods to order.“
“This place has great deep dish pizza!! We were up at O'Hare and wanted to get a good local pizza and we hit the jackpot pot! The marinara sauce was superb and the Italian sausage was so flavorful! The service was great! Very attentive and polite! This is a traditional "local hole in the wall" gem!! So glad we went! Highly recommend!!“
“My daughter and I dined for the first time here today. the food and atmosphere was amazing. we had a couple pizza lunch specials and calamari. The best part was our server, Isael. He was attentive, friendly, and was just noticibly proud of where he works. We will definitely be back and requesting him as our server.“
“We had high expectations since all the reviews we’d read had been very positive. We were not disappointed. The apple salad was indeed huge and delicious and the tavern style pizza was perfect. Super thin and crispy and the sausage was glorious, not greasy at all and full of fennel seed flavor. Josh(one of the owners)took our order and chatted with us. He was extremely welcoming and kind. Even brought us glasses for the bottle of wine we brought with us. We also tried the Superman ice cream, which I hadn’t heard of before, that too is made in house and was delicious. There are 3 booths that fit 4 for seating and also just enough room for ordering at the counter and for people waiting for takeout and delivery orders. We went on Friday and were able to grab a table when we arrived around 5:30. Within 30-45 minutes, the other tables were occupied as well. We dined in since we wanted to try the pizza super fresh and hot. Wonderful experience and We’re looking forward to going again. Don’t miss out on this amazing pizza.“
“I couldn't have picked a better place for my first official Chicago pizza experience - though unassuming at first glance, the food hit all the right notes. My pizza had a perfect thin crust that wasn't tough or too hard, but could still stand up to the toppings. Both the cheese and sausage had great flavor, and neither was greasy. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, and wasn't too acidic. The slices were large but surprisingly light. While I can't eat beef, I tried a bit of the bread, peppers, and giardiniera from the Italian beef sandwich and it was all delicious. The prices were very reasonable and everything came out super quick. Apart from the food, what really made Gigio's stand out to me was the staff. This is a true community restaurant - they actually know and care about their customers. They remembered my dad even after 30+ years, both Vito and Mama Nitti came out to chat with us and ask about how our family was doing. They even remembered how my grandfather used to order his pizzas back when they lived in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a mom and pop restaurant with delicious pizza and a great local feel, Gigio's is the place for you!“
“Friendly service, and way better pizza than I ever expected. Pleasantly surprised by the thick bacon, almost more like carnitas. Delicious! Also I don't usually like crust but even the crust is so good. Already looking forward to next visit.“
“Visiting Chicago for the first time, I had to find all the vegan options. I ordered a traditional deep dish pizza and the Oreo chocolate cake to go as we were in a rush to also go to a non-vegan pizza place for my husband. Very dark and creepy inside for me but the service was great and I really enjoyed the food! I’ve never had a Chicago deep dish before going vegan so I don’t have much to compare it to. The crust was thick and crunchy and the vegan sausage had a nice spiciness to it. I would have ordered all the desserts if I could! There were Endless options!Dietary restrictions: All vegan options!“
“First. Let me just say that ive been coming to that area for years and never knew that thjs place existed.. I went through drive-thru (a bit quirky but doable), received my food (the order was correct), got to my destination (east of Manheim rd) the food was still hot. That hot dog and fries was delicious. Next week, im trying the beef.“
“After all these years in business, still the best sub sandwiches in Chicago area. There's a reason why, every morning, they have a huge stack of pre-made American & Italian subs ready for customers to quickly head one and go. Their amount of business is crazy!“
“Panino's Pizzeria was, frankly, a very pleasant surprise. We agreed to meet friends here - they had recommended it. It looked like so many run-of-the-mill pizza/Italian food joints in the Chicago area, that we weren't expecting much. Boy, were we wrong. This is NOT nouvelle cuisine Italian-style, but rather stereotypical, Italian-American food that is hearty and quite tasty. Gratis bread to start the meal, followed by pork meatballs in red sauce and burrata. My wife had the lasagna - very nice portion, and I had the pork chops with broccoli. The wait staff (Fred) was bend over backwards accommodating us. The fried dough with chocolate was amazing. The prices are moderate. And none of us had pizza! We're certain to return to try some (they serve several styles). Huge thumbs up!“
“Friendly phone person to start out . Thank you, Katy . ( Some restaurants have lost sight of the importance of the first person to represent their business . No one wants to deal with a cocky and rude high school girl who can't get their order right. ) Excellent Pizza! Nice CRUNCH on their thin crust dough . Only very slightly thicker crust than most. And not burnt or charred . ( Not that I mind a good char taste ) The cheese is perfectly caramelized, so I wouldn't risk losing that by ordering a well done pizza . The crunchy dough stands up well to the slightly generous amount of sauce that is perfectly balanced . Extra thin sliced fresh veggies are also much appreciated .“
“If you love Indian Food and Pizza you come to the right place. Amazing Traditional Fresh Flavors. You will have a hard time to choose your toppings and sauce. Each flavor is very different. Also topping choices are amazing. From being just vegetarian to adding halal chicken. Then also mango, pineapple, cashews, and so much move. Crust is very nice and artisan with great spices. I loved the Korma and Saag was incredible.Kenny and the staff are very friendlyIt's a little different going into a Beverage Depot to eat. Love the Bollywood Videos and MusicI would love to see more locations open that are nice restaurants with a fun Bollywood Traditional environment.Keep it up look forward to your growthNow go make me a lamb and korma pizza lolSeva Jaijeet SinghVegetarian options: Halal and Many Vegetarian OptionsParking: Ton of parkingWheelchair accessibility: No steps and electric sliding door“
“Celebrated our mom's birthday dinner and everything from the atmosphere, staff and food was excellent. I always drove by but had not gone in to try and I'm so happy I did. It's definitely my new go to restaurant and they deliver! I didn't get great pics of the food, but here's a couple.Parking: The restaurant is in a small shopping strip but there's plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: My kid loved the chicken tenders and fries.“
“Didn't know this place existed. Always passed by but was going for some café con leche and a friend suggested we go here because they'd been there and thought it was good. They were not lying! So good that I ordered a 2nd cup! Ordered some appetizers and not the best ,but not the worst either. Columbian food in general is good and this place offers all sorts of items to choose from. We tried at least one of each of the main staple Columbian delicacies- pan de bono, pan de bono with guava , pan de bono con queso( our favs)YUM! And well, it's very very good, the baristas make good café con leche! . The best part, not only does their coffee and food menu offer a good variety, they are open until 9pm daily.. I stop in for coffee here at least 3/4 x's a week. That's how good the coffee and treats are. If you decide to sit and enjoy, the salsa music playing over the speakers will keep you dancing in your seat.. their staff are all attentive and very friendly ,making the whole experience nice. Tip, if you order any of the pan de bonos or empanadas, ask that they warm them up for ( they are alot better warmer. This place is a winner !“
“Great experience. Try to get in another place down the street and it was packed and didn’t take reservations. Decided to call and the manager answered and was able to accommodate five of us in front of a TV at a table to watch March madness . I’m not sure if it was recently renovated, but it was very clean and well kept. The food is wonderful. We had some deep dish and some thin crust. It was so authentic & so delicious!“
“Always delicious and hot Been going to eat here for years under old ownership and know new one. Food has always been delicious. These past few months I have catered at least 3 times. Want to say thank you so much to Fernando for making sure everything was delicious and helping me as many times I called to asked questions!! Just want to say your food will always be delicious no matter what you order and will be hot because they have a little oven you keep food warm until ready to serve.“
