Stopped by when passing through town, thanks Guy Fieri. The deep dish pizza was out of this world! It didn’t seem like a traditional Chicago deep dish but a hybrid of that and Detroit style. Their red sauce they put on the pizza is super flavorful and it got the Detroit style caramelized crispy cheese on the top of the slice. Labriola Ristorante offers a mix of experiences. The thin crust pizza is excellent, with perfect char, and the gnocchi is fantastic. Some guests recommend dipping the pizza in the gnocchi vodka sauce. The service, from staff like Michael and Brittney, is often outstanding, making guests feel right at home. The atmosphere is beautiful, with an outdoor fireplace looking over the pond and an amazing porch. For private events, the staff is clear, attentive, kind, and supportive, providing generous hospitality and genuine concern during vulnerable times.
However, some reviews note disappointment. The new setup has changed from an order-at-the-counter style to a full restaurant, which has lost its former charm. Long waits for food, such as 30 minutes for a 10" pizza and nearly 40 minutes for a burger, have been reported. Other guests found the food dreadful, including a ho-hum salad, awful wine that tasted like a tin can, tasteless jar sauce drowning the pasta, and burned, dry meatballs. A cold pizza intended as an appetizer was also a letdown. Despite the pretty space, some feel the food is not worth the high price.
