I stopped at Ogle County Brewery in Oregon after visiting the nearby Lowden State Park on a day trip from Chicago with a friend in the Fall. The weather was nice enough to sit on the sidewalk patio in front of the brewery and enjoy a flight of beers. We visited this little brewery in a historic building in downtown Oregon on a quick tour through northern Illinois. It wasn't really on our agenda, but since we were nearby, we decided to stop. They had a good variety of beers, and a nice menu of meals and snacks. We opted for the Brewhaus Bread and Oil which was a great option holding us over until we got to our dinner location. My kind of brewery. Ogle has been on my radar for a couple years but Oregon is slightly off our path. After stopping in, I'd go out of my way to come back!Ogle has a modest tap list with a dozen varied choices. There's a little bit here for everyone, and most of their crafts sounded good.
