Excellent Tex-Mex especially for a “chain” restaurant! The way the food is prepared reminds me of my favorite family Mexican restaurant growing up. You can tell the ingredients are very high quality. Fun vibe and decor with good service. It also smells really good inside the dining area and that was helped by multiple parties ordering sizzling fajitas. I was originally introduced to Chuy's when I lived in TX and it is one of my favorite franchise restaurants of all time. The food is delicious, portions are MASSIVE, and the prices are very reasonable. When I found out that there was a Chuy's in IL, I had to bring my friends to check it out. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. When we walked in I instantly saw they were severally short staffed with all the open tables and people waited to be seated. I've always liked Chuy's because of there ranch cream, service and authentic tex mix. The food lived up to standards, but they did not refill our chips when we ran out. I had to get up and ask a separate server for more chips. When we were done eating we had to wait about 12 minutes for the server to come with our check....read full review
