First time dining at Monte’s and we really enjoyed our experience. The host and waitress were great! The food was AMAZING, the portions were way bigger than expected. This place is the rare gem we had been looking for in Ottawa. We highly recommend MRI.
We came to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on March 8 and we were not disappointed! I ordered the Wagyu steak and my husband had the pork chop special. Both entrees were absolutely superb! Our expectations were blown out of the water…thank you Montes for a job well done. Our server was amazing! Thank you again!
Tonight, my bill was $225.57 for good food and great service. I also purchased a round of drinks for a friendly couple at the bar. I was charged $8 and change for service (using my AMEX card) I tipped the bartender $20 before being seated and the wait staff $50 over the bill. I asked the owner why he was charging for the use of my AMEX and serving paper napkins while charging $80.00 for a steak. He deceivingly told me because of COVID. REALLY?
I will never go back!
