Ambiance was fun, yet warm and authentic. Service was friendly and the food exceeded our expectations. We’ve been looking for an alternative to our regular Mexican restaurant. We will return.
Awesome family-run restaurant. Great food and drinks. Barkeep really made great margaritas. I recommend any steak dish. The tampiqueña was amazing and very tender. Its flavor was very good and authentic. Great combination together with its sides. Try it with a margarita.
They had really great Mexican food which is rare and hard to find. They also made you feel like family.
Really bad! Read my other reviews. I don't blast places very often. This place was horrible. Now I know why they had reservations available on Cinco de Mayo. This place will be out of business soon. 1. Had super loud (and untalented) karaoke on 5/5. Couldn't hear yourself think it was so loud. No conversation possible. 2. Ran out of chicken. No chicken dishes. Also didn't have the beer I ordered. 3. Wait staff just hands you plates instead of serving you normally. It was like my kids were pretending to run a restaurant. 4. Steak was grisly. Cilantro was bland. Chips were stale. Nothing special about the food. Might have enjoyed it more if they had Chicken .:-) 5. No toothpicks. (I realize I am being picky now. But, you notice more and more when things go this bad) every restaurant has toothpicks by the exit. Not this place. Just another sign that they dont know what they are doing. 6. Way overpriced for what you get. $300+ tor 7 people eating tacos. Avoid!!
First time customer. The staff was super friendly. Always coming to our table asking if we needed anything. Appetizer of Elote was so tasty. Main course of shrimp in a hot sauce; Outstanding! My only complaint is the margaritas came in to small glasses. 2, 3 sips and they were done.
The restaurant is not customer oriented at all. I ordered chicken fajitas (chicken was a little dry) and it came with rice, beans and a dollop of sour cream & guac. I didn't want the rice & beans due to a health restriction and was told there was no alternative so I asked for double sour cream & guac. Was told that was not possible. My husband said rice was over cooked. The music and singing was so loud and off key that we ate our dinner and left immediately. Will never go back!
The staff was patient and so helpful. Made my mom's birthday a little more special with a dessert.
Shrimp tacos were undercooked and covered in pepper. The time it took for our order, 2 orders of tacos and fajitas took over 45 minutes to come to the table. Server was inattentive as well and had to be flagged down multiple times.
Great "newer" Mexican restaurant in Park Ridge. Nice environment and atmosphere with plenty of free parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Plenty of freshsly made warm tortilla chips (fried tortilla style) and red salsa. We had the Chesse Quesadilla, Guacamole for appetizers, and Mi Tierra Burrito, Steak Enchiladas De Mole, Steak Fajitas, Steak Rancheros, Kids Chicken Burrito, and Kids Steak Taco for dinner. Also had Churros, Cheesecake, Flan Napolitano, and Gelato for the kids, for dessert. Everything was delicious. The kids loved their kid's meals. Will definitely be back. P.S. I have photos, that unfortunately that will not upload after multiple attempts, and OpenTable is of no help in resolving the issue
First time visiting and I thought everything was great. Good Margaritas, food was all good and atmosphere very nice and lively. I had chicken tacos, friends had fish tacos and carne asada. Everyone enjoyed the food and presentation is great. I will definitely go back.

Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food and drinks and impeccable, attentive service. Love this gem of a restaurant in Park Ridge.
We like Sal Pique alot. Good variety on the menu. Margaritas are good. Chips are very good, salsa a little too spicy for me but not for my husband! Guacamole is good .... Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month they have a Mariachi band (8 men) that is absolutely fabulous! Not sure why this restaurant doesn't get more exposure, but it's definitely on our list of favorites!
It was our first time at this restaurant and we only live 2 miles away. We will definitely be back. We sat in the bar. We love the atmosphere and the decor. Carlos the bartender was also our server and he was fantastic.! The food was very authentic and the homemade chips and salsa were my favorite, along with the cucumber margarita! Thank you Carlos! See you soon!
Their Agua de Jamaica was awesome. The nachos were amazing. The skirts steak was made to perfection. Amazing customer service. I am looking forward to returning soon.
A nice, New Restaurant with authentic Mexican food. The host as well as our waiter were professional and polite. The food was very tasty and the portions were just right. It was a great experience overall!
