“As a Marine, I love this place. I got married here, have had/attended parties here and it's always a good time! On occasion though, I do still miss the ole "bunker". I had a lot of great times and memories there as well.”

“I had the bourbon street burger and my husband had the ribeye withe garlic mashed potatoes. The food was good but the service was even better. Our waitress Hailey was very attentive, always checking to make sure our drinks were full and ect. I would definitely return and hope that she would be our waitress again. Keep up the good service Hailey.”

“Took a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a couple years to MacDuffs, I used to frequent McCritters, and told him, same owners, people, I kinda knew that on Sundays no food is served. So I called, she said just Pizza's. Good enough. I knew I wouldn't see my regular waitress etc. Lo and behold I walk in and there's Dee, a bartender that worked at Mccritters!! My friend LOVED the pizza! What food that was at McCritters, is at MacDuffs. I knew that, but not my friend. So good seeing Dee again, atmosphere was excellent, food, clean bar, went out on the patio, so nice!!”

The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced, the service is very fast even on a Friday or Saturday night and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Never once have we been disapointed by the food or the service. We love La Fiesta Pekin!”

“Many of us locals have been supporting this business for a long time now and I believe the appreciation by the owner/s shows that with the low prices and superior food selection and quality all the way around. I especially like the vast variety of food choices and the hand dip ice cream station instead of the usual soft-serve that most places have. They were really thinking out of the box. Today I took my friend, Darryl out to eat at this Chinese buffet. He had never eaten such food and I figured it was time for him to escape from his comfort zone. He was very impressed and sure didn't step away from the table hungry. By the way the cherry on the cake was that they serve Mountain Dew. That is a must for Darryl wherever he dines. I had hot tea. Get on out and see for yourselves and spread the word.”

My only complaint is there is always a line & I feel that should have 1 girl/boy taking the orders & other staff preparing the orders. Service is slow cuz a person takes ur order & leaves to prepare…just holding up the line & time.some rude staff but know Mgr does her very best”

“Legendary root beer stand. It has been in Pekin for over 40 years. Nice variety of selections and food is always made to order. Root beer is delicious and so are the baked potatoes.”

“I was traveling through and stopped for a meal as it had a good rating. I'm glad I stopped and I would stop again. The front counter lady was wonderful! Sweet, efficient and quick. The food was really good. A lot of people came in for take out orders as I was sitting there and no one else sat to eat on a Monday evening around 5:30 pm.

Cons: I'm not sure if their back room is under construction but both walls in the dining room had stacks of boxes with drinks and whatnot. The tables were not clean so I used a wet wipe. The napkin dispenser was visibly dusty... Really dusty. I went to use the restroom after I had eaten and it was gross. Not sure if it was dirty or just old and nasty looking. I took one look and walked out”

“One of my favorite watering holes in town. Great atmosphere, awesome mix of people of all ages and nationalities. Great mixed drinks. Also the owners do a whole lot for the community. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a trouble/drama free evening. Google is asking about the food for some reason. This is a bar. No food. Just frozen pizza and some chips.

I was invited there and I went with them but I have a curfew on outing 😕😔 especially not knowing who these people are but I appreciate it 😉🍄‍🟫. No copyright to the Boardwalk, but they are some good people regardless of being marginalized as inhumane but it's not the truth. Don't judge a book by its cover. And never judge anyone's freedom or lack thereof until you've walked a mile in their shoes. (Google about walking a mile in someone's honor as so elegantly put as a TRUE Definition of a good person.”

“There is one worker there that keeps us coming back , his name is Danny. He is always super welcoming and friendly, and makes super delicious sandwiches. He has great work attitude. That man deserves a raise for all his hard work. Thank God there are still decent workers out there.”

“I’ve lived out of Illinois for about eight years now and stopped in for lunch today(Pekin). I ordered my usual favorite pizza burger. It was just as good as I remembered! The place hasn’t changed a bit. Everyone else’s food was just as good as always and the restaurant was clean and well kept for its age. Prices are still reasonable. I will return the next time I make it back to Pekin, IL.”

“My goto watering hole.. only bar in town that caters to the midnight crews who are looking for a brew or 2 after work. "Indoor" beer garden let's ya smoke a cig in the dead of winter & still stay warm. Cold beer still has ice chunks hanging on em. Pool table in the back to help pass time... I love this place & the bartenders who work there are a blast.”

“I have never really had bad food here. Service has been good for the most part as well. Biggest complaint would be we received boneless wings that were smaller than McDonalds chicken nuggets. Pizza Hut has better wings.”
