Shakes were good, but you might want to eat somewhere else
When we got there and looked for a table, every single table was dirty and needed wiping down. Thanks, Blake, the person did come and clean up the entire dining room once we seated. The bathroom has not been cleaned for several days. It was atrocious! Not at all in the spirit of Steak ‘n Shake. Surprising that Steak ‘n Shake allows a dining room and especially bathrooms to be that much in disarray. There needs to be much better management of the entire reparation.
Kind of a dead, sad place. Culvers definitely has the better hamburger though I do like the cheese sauce with the fries. The shake was good—kind of like what you can get from everyone else. The store was completely empty. I’d be surprised if they are there for too much longer.

Steak 'n Shake offers a great deal with the Double Steakburger with Cheese and Fries for just $4.99. The Nutella shake is amazing, as are the seasonal specialty shakes like Oreo Pumpkin. The dining room is clean and organized, with a self-serve drink area. The staff, including Riley at the drive-thru, are professional and friendly. Riley’s positive attitude and welcoming voice, saying “Hi, my name is Riley. What can I make for you today?” make customers feel at home. The restaurant provides little hats for kids and has easy wheelchair accessibility. The food is served hot and tastes fresh, even during late hours when the staff go above and beyond to offer good service. Customers note that the chili cheese fries are plentiful with plenty of cheese and chili, although they wish napkins were more readily available. Overall, Steak 'n Shake is an underrated spot for a delicious meal at a great price.
