The pizza was good but the chucks parm sandwich got big ratings from our dining companions as they split sandwiches. The half and half was also good.“

“A wonderful place full of different dishes of oriental food, the bathrooms in excellent condition, clean and very tidy, the bad thing is that the waitresses are almost running away giving you the ticket long before you finish eating and a little abrupt in their interaction with the customers, in the end, the rude cashier yelling at me on the street just as I was getting into my car because by mistake I grabbed the ticket that should be kept for them. ?“

“Went for early dinner tonight I had raw oysters for an appetizer! They were so fresh and tasted delicious. My boyfriend had the tortellini’s, my son had kid’s quesadillas, and I had 1/2 seafood chowder soup 1/2 salad. Everything tasted delicious. Our waitress I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome! “Came from Chicago to Starved Rock and tried Sam’s Pizza. We paid 1,500$(discounted from 9,532$) for the most rich and flavorful Cheese Pizza I’ve ever had. Please if you come here respect this man’s craft. He is just one man and he makes the dough and sauce himself. Sam’s a bit hard to understand but he’s hilarious and friendly. Treat Sam as if you were in his home, and enjoy a delicious pizza.“

Must try the Heavenly martini, and if you are blessed enough to find the steak Diane or filet canapés on special, SEIZE THE MOMENT AND EAT ALL YOU CAN! Seriously. I’m a foodie. “As we all know, Rip’s chicken is clearly the BEST. Have you ever thought about ordering Rips as a catering service? Not only was the service great, but the food was amazing. My wedding guests raved about it for weeks. We still hear about how much they loved the food. They make the best homemade Pasta and the chicken, as always was so good. They offered so many different sides to choose from and everything turned out perfectly. They had a nice setup and their girls kept the guest tables clean the entire time they were there. Seriously, by the end of the night I don’t think I saw one plate or empty cup on a single table! The owner works seamlessly with the venue and Rips staff to make sure your dinner services are top notch. I would 10/10 recommend Rip’s Tavern in general, but especially for an event. “They truly have the best Maki rolls within 40 mls. I have no experience with the non vegan items in the menu.Do not order Tofu and sauteed veggies The portions were small expensive and had No Flavor! Do Order as much yummy Maki rolls as you can afford. They are so worth your $

Vegetarian options: Aside from the yummy veggie sushi rolls. The Vegetarian menu is small with only 1 or 2 offerings that I don't recommend.

Kid-friendliness: Super nice people. I always order between 130- to 165$ worth of veggie sushi. The last time they added free Crab Rangoon for my boyfriend. They also help Carry out our huge orders“

“Arrived around two o’clock on a Monday afternoon. It was a warm and beautiful fall day so we chose to sit outside. It was busier than normal for a Monday, but we weren’t in a hurry anyway. The wait staff worked hard. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. My wife ordered the chicken strips. Each entree came with fries. Mine came with lettuce, onion, tomato slice, and pickles. Unfortunately, there were so many french fries that most of the onion, the slice of tomato, and the pickles were all buried, as you can see in the photo. I didn’t even realize they were there until I had eaten some of the fries. The fries were kind of bland, there was no seasoning on them at all. The breaded pork tenderloin was delicious and quite large. The chicken tenders entree was more than enough for my wife, so we brought it home along with half of the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Bottom line, I would eat there again, but I only gave it four stars because the french fries covered up the toppings for my sandwich. Attention to detail people!“
