“We got lunch last week and it was very good.
The cod sandwich was crispy, flaky & fresh with a nice soft roll. Everyone loved the beef sandwich and burgers. Some weren't crazy about the flavor of the sauce on the Spicy AF burger but said the actual burger was delicious (others did like the sauce- don't knock it till you try it). Sides & service were also great. We will return for sure. Only got a pic of the fish.“

“Its been decades since I had a breaded steak sandwich. To give you perspective, last time I had a breaded steak sandwich was in early 1990s when there was a Ricobenes on Lake Street in The Loop, at street level, downstairs from a Nevada Bob’s. If you know about this, then you are Gen X!!

This place was recommended by a close friend and it was fantastic!!! It’s a solid 4.6⭐️s!!

From what I recall, this breaded steak sandwich is just about as tasty as I have had since Ricobenes. Tony’s is excellent and messy as I have expected. Its very filling and well worth the price.

Also tried their italian beef, which was very good indeed. Balanced spices and saltiness was all there!!! But I do have my favorites that I lean on when I really need a fixin!!! But this was very good nonetheless.

This neighborhood joint is small and has limited seating, but the friendly staff made the dine-in meal a pleasant experience, albeit a bit confined. Most patrons order take-away. Will try to make it out again next time I am in the Midway area.“

“I come to the oak Lawn establishment quite often, but haven't been there in a while due to work commitments . I was in last week and as usual, I ordered with Bill at the cash register. He jokes with me as he knows what I like, but more importantly, he was genuinely concerned that I was ok because he hadn't seen me in some time. I always get 2 shack burgers, and a drink. He calls me tht best dressed man in the place as I still get dressed in a suit everyday to go into the office. Great sense of humor.“

“This place is so nostalgic. It reminds me of a special time in my life. When I was a kid, my mom would take me shopping near Roosevelt & Halsted Street in Chicago. I could smell burgers, polishes, pork chops, and grilled onions for miles. My mouth would be drooling, and I couldn't wait until mom finished her shopping. This place has good food. However, I am not fond of their French fries. They taste as if they are processed with a light breading and salt. Other locations still take the time to make hand cut fries.“

“Loved this place, the food was great and so was the service. I had the apple and cream cheese french toast. I ordered it without the whipped cream and powdered sugar and it wasn't overly sweet, it was perfect for me. The coffee was also very good and I'm picky about my coffee. They also offer freshly squeezed OJ. Their tater tots were perfectly crispy and so were their homemade chips. I will definitely visit this place again. I visited on a Friday morning so it wasn't very crowded but they had a few people there. I'm assuming weekends get busy so I would go there early.

Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. “my husband had a taste for chicken I wanted a gyro so we went to Athens to get a gyro while we were there he noticed that they had a fried chicken dinner so we ordered it unfortunately being late in the day they were out of chicken but the owner went to the supply store and got the chicken took our oder and delivered it for free and the chicken was delicious would recommend Athens to everyone great service“
