“I needed to reserve a private room for a large group of coworkers and the staff at Riverside were very helpful and friendly, to coordinate the room and the large group of employees. Food service was excellent and food was served quickly and hot. The waitress was very helpful and served all our needs. The restaurant has a very interesting atmosphere with homestead era motif.“
“I’m so surprised to see so many poor reviews on here for Fatback’s. My fiancé and I have had take out from here so many times for the last few years! It’s our go to for BBQ here in Quincy. So I want to share my experiences! My meat is always cooked delicious with flavor and it’s tender. I’ve had many different dishes from here as well. I love all the sides. Your macaroni is my favorite. So many good foods. Oh! Don’t forget the cornbread either- it’s moist every single time and tastes good too. It’s my favorite!! I’ve never had a messed up order and the employee at the window had been kind every single time. Yeah sure they’re younger sometimes but we all need to make money. She was knowledgeable of everything, prompt, and made sure we had things we needed (meaning we had warm rolls ON DECK!!) I had driven in town to visit my family so I told her I needed a DRANK. “Had the lunch buffet. $12 with a soda. Added two pieces of brisket for an additional $2. The food was good, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Bar/restaurant atmosphere. It would be nearly impossible to find a better value than this lunch! The brisket wasn’t the best I have ever had, but it was still quite good considering this is Missouri. I have zero complaints and recommend The Rebel Pig. If you are a food snob from NY then this might not be your cup of tea so enter with the right expectations and my thoughts are you will leave very satisfied.“
“We all know BBQ! It is what its always been..Period. When I got word of Platt Daddys, my eyes rolled slightly and that "Havnt had Que in a minute feeling settled over me and I assumed here we go. Another "Pit Master" boasting this prize and that reward with honors 2 states over. However, I cold not have been more wrong. I was litterally rocked by this in your grill, no holds barred Barbque joint. Most Que joints are like most other que joints. Your either in the mood for it or your not. You could probably guess 90% of most menus before arriving. Not at Platts...These are dishes! Entrees serverd with pride from a well thought out confident menu. I had to throw out 50 years of what I thought was bbq and glad I did. Platts has a costomer in me and a recomendation to all other bbq numbed foodies out there.
