“While traveling on business, my wife and I stopped in for lunch at the Culver's on IL 40. I was immediately impressed by the friendly atmosphere, and the professionalism of the staff. We received very fine service, the type that makes you want to come back more often. The food was as good as I could ever ask for, but something else impressed me even more.

Sitting near us was an elderly couple, who had ordered, and had sat down at their table with their empty water cups. Our server was also serving their table, and after she delivered their food to the table, asked if they would like for her to get their drinks for them, as well as napkins, ketchup, utensils, etc. Server Katie, accompanied by a younger server, came back shortly and treated this older couple like royalty, which spoke volumes to me about the character and hearts of these two young ladies, and the culture of service and caring at this restaurant.“

“At first I thought it would be a dive, but the Indian food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Masala and the spice was just right. It was very flavorful. They also have an American menu. My wife ordered just a salad and all the ingredients were fresh. Service was also good.“

“We took our 1 year old twins today. The boys were not having it and we had just been seated. We told the hostess we were going to leave because the kids were being loud and next thing we know Chris came out with a snack plate for both the twins and told us it was okay they weren’t disturbing anything. Chris made sure their meals came out first and every time he walked by he would interact and make faces back and forth with them. My son who is very shy even gave him a high five before we left. The food was good but the service was remarkable.“

This restaurant is a throw back to when folks were always glad to see you and feed you like family!! Don't miss this place!! Prices are unreal reasonable too! Pricing alone has me wishing I lived closer! I would NEVER cook!! I am not sure why I am listed as a local guide, I am not from this area but will go out of my way to stop in again when near!“

“Been going there since I was a kid. LOVE the food. The loose meat sandwiches are amazing and taste like home cooking. You've got to try their Tasha Fries. The prices are comparable to most fast food burger chains. The building itself is old and needs some repairs, but nothing structural.“

They accommodated us last minute, we’re so kind, the food was great and they did a great job keeping up with up the demand of all of us. We will absolutely have them back for years to come.“

“Great food-great service-great prices-BUT: They don’t take credit cards AND the ATM is a foreign ATM which will cost you DOUBLE what the ATM tells you-$2.25 for THEIR machine AND another $2.50 for your own bank. Yes, they only cash (or local personal checks), but there’s an itty bitty sign in the register you’ll miss and they don’t tell you up front, so go prepared with cash from your own bank. I’d give 5 stars if there was an appropriately placed notice or the help earned you AND on their social media page. In my business we tell our customers up front what the terms are. The wait staff received a 15% tip but it’d have been 20% if we hadn’t had to pay another 4.75% of the tab to a bank and an ATM provider.“
