Played here June 19th on a Friday in perfect conditions. The course itself was in great shape. The greens were all good, the pins however hadn't been moved that day. The cups were worn and it was rough anywhere near the hole's. The course had made sure to inform us that they'd spent over $2mm renovating their bunkers. Despite that expense, they hadn't raked their prized possessions for anyone who played golf on a Friday before the 1st day of summer. The rough was, rough for sure especially around the greens. So, for me I have mixed feelings about playing here. Most golf courses consider Friday to be a weekend. My course I normally play rakes traps daily, as well as moving pins, especially this time of year. So, overall I was a bit disappointed with my round at Aldeen, despite it being a really good layout and a nice place to play. Another thing I recommend is, when you are at a golf course and the US open is playing, you might want to happily put it on in the bar. Though I realize that staff might not care about that stuff, golfers do.

New to golf,new to aldeen. Was having fun at the practice center until grumpy unprofessional employee approached us. Drove by once with ball grabber tractor and yelled something, drove by again got off and told me didn't you here me were closed. I said I didn't here you, then he proceeded to say grab your stuff and go were closed. If employees won't stay after or their is a policy on you can't be hitting the balls you paid for then don't rent the balls after a certain hour. Talk to your employees aldeen, change your policy.

We take an annual men's golf trip and this year we chose Eagle Ridge in Galena. On the way we stopped at Aldeen CC in Rockford. The course was absolutely fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable to play. The value was incredible as well. I was not unhappy with the amount I payed to play with a riding cart.
The one complaint I have is that the driving range did not open until 11am. Our tee time was at 11am so we did not have the ability to warm up properly apart from hitting some putts on the practice green. I personally do not like not being able to warm up hitting full shots. This is the only reason I did not give Aldeen 5 stars. If the range would have been open it would be a 5 star review no questions asked!

For fall play this course was one of the best kept. The greens were in great shape and pretty well cleaned up as far as ball marks. The pace of play was right on. The staff is fantastic. The on course bathrooms are so well cleaned. Over the last hole being a narrow Par 5 and being costly on the score card, this place is a must return. Had a great time. Will definately be back. Thank you everyone there.
I don’t really ever write bad reviews but I scheduled a tee time today online as a single player for 9 holes and a cart. I mistakenly paid for a half cart which I just thought was for 9 holes. I got there checked in was given the key for the golf cart and then when I was at the tee box I was told I needed to put my clubs in the persons cart whom I’ve never met before and they paired me up with. Biggest thing is you could have asked me to pay the probably $10 difference if that. The employees in the clubhouse were great and refunded my money. Sad thing is I live less than a 1/4 mile from this course and will never go there again and will make sure all of my friends and myself whom are business owners to not do their playdays there.

I recently went to sinnissippi to watch my grandson in jr golf. I have seen all his matches this summer. I was disappointed that there were no golf carts available for us senior citizens. I am 74 years old and it is difficult to walk 9 holes. I thought maybe I could watch a few holes. I was explaining the situation to Dave Copp of how frustrated I was. We need to support these young kids with family around them. We need to encourage them whether they are playing good or not. Motivation for them is a key factor to keep trying and don’t give up just because of a few bad swings. Dave listened very closely to my story. He said wait a few minutes. He proceeded to free up a golf cart for me to use. That was an awesome kindness by him. He is more of what we need to continue support of these young kids. He has my vote for employee of the week. Thanks again Dave for showing compassion towards me. You are certainly one of a kind. Dave was a coach from Aldeen. That’s what makes it so special.
