The tacos here are great. My favorite is the al pastor. The food is good but not my favorite Mexican restaurant around town. The service here is lacking. We often wonder where did the server go? It's probably because she has to do everything. Answer the phone at the front counter. Handle all tables and the front counter at the other side of the restaurant. Always very friendly when she does drop by, though. I don't fault her, I fault the management. The tacos will bring me back!
Chilangos is literally one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. I'm so happy my sister told me about this place. I choose this place over any other Mexican restaurant in rockford, IL any day .

Nice place, however the you dont get much for the money. Saying that the food was tasty! The fajitas I ordered had barely any meat and hardly any veggies. It did have about two whole onions, tho. Chips are store bought but good, and the salsa was really good.
