Fast and great service!! Miso soup was fantastic not too salty! Takoyaki was a new find for me and delicious as well. A lot of variety for non sushi lovers. Everything was fresh and lovely atmosphere c:

I went with my wife and kids to dine in. The host had us sit at a table in the middle of the restaurant right in front of the entrance and doors to the restroom. Customers were lined up at the counter and the line circled around our table. We couldn't even have a conversation and we asked to be moved to a more secluded table as there were plenty inside, away from the crowd. The host refused. We were uncomfortable and so we moved to another table, away from the crowd. The host came running to us and yelled at us for moving. At this point, we wanted a refund and to leave, but the host refused and yelled at us. I was humiliated in front of customers and my family. If I hadn't paid for the food, I would have left. I asked to speak to the manager, but it turned out the host was the manager! She is rude, unaccommodating, unprofessional, with zero customer service skills. I do not recommend this place if you value your dignity.

10/10 I always love the food and service here. Everyone is so nice and the food tastes so amazing!!! Their tokoyaki is so good! I love try to it anyplace that has it and usually the octopus is chewy and rubbery but here the octopus was so tender ans easy to chew and swallow!!! The tokoyaki has a nice crunch and was really good🤤!!!

The quality of presentation of this place has no business being in a tiny restaurant in a strip mall of Rockford Illinois. The staff is crazy friendly and the food was amazing.

I wish I could give 10 stars. This is my first time here. Everything was exceptionally good. I love how decorative the rolls were. Mine came out on a bridge!! The poke bowl, the red dragon (my new fav roll), the eel and spicy mayo was so good too. The atmosphere was nice and we even got a nice reusable bag since it was our first visit. I highly recommend.

The staff is very friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I entered. The dining area is a bit smaller but it doesn't feel crowded. The atmosphere is nice and the food came out hot, delicious and looked beautiful (my picture doesn't do it justice). Would definitely recommend and I'll be coming back again.

I was in the area visiting a nearby garden and found this place on Google. As soon as we walked in we were greeted so kindly. They explained the lunch menu to us and we both went with the bento boxes. Great portion sizes and everything was hot and fresh. Everyone who worked there was friendly. It's a smaller place, but the tables were spaced out well so you don't feel overcrowded. As we were leaving they asked if we lived in the area, once they found out we didn't, them they gave us a cute reusable bag to remember them. 10/10 service and if I'm ever back in the area I will be back.

I’ve been coming to this Hachi Hachi location for years and it’s honestly refreshing to see they continue to update their interior, and the food quality is still top-tier. My favorite place to stop for lunch, whether it’s sushi or hibatchi 🔥🔥🔥🔥

They messed up a roll and wouldn't do anything about it. They then proceeded to lie that it was fine. Terrible service. Really disappointed in this resturant.
