“We went there today for my first time and I have to say, this place is amazing. The food is incredible, the selection is extensive, it's got great atmosphere... Will definitely be going here again. Well worth the not expensive price of $30 for two adults. Very clean, very friendly, all around great place to eat!“

“The food was really good and fresh. The gentleman that sat us and took our drink order was really nice. However, the gentleman that took our food order kind of kept forgetting we were there, never offered refills, and we were only one of two tables. He even mixed up our payment at the end, we almost paid for the other guests. Other than that the food was good, I will be coming back, but double checking my receipt before leaving.“

“Second visit as good as the first. Fresh ingredients quick service good selections. Several great vegetarian options too! I should have taken a few pix because each plate was artistic. Above all the food was great!“

Let's start with the food; They have quite a variety of food, good quality ingredients although nothing different or a reference point, I consider that their quality-cost-portion ratio is still in good balance, I would recommend perhaps improving the speed in food preparation a little .
Service, just good, nothing bad, nothing to highlight, it only remains as something that would not provide added value.
Regarding the environment, it is good, enough spaces for people, you can interact with the people you go to without any restrictions, you can go with your family, friends without any problem.“

“I stop at Hayashi’s for lunch on a Saturday. Only one table was occupied, so I got a seat right away. The menu offered a wide selection of items to choose from.
I ordered two of the special rolls and a green tea, and they arrived at the table promptly. The rolls were good but not outstanding.
I went to the women's bathroom and found it needed some cleaning, although it was spacious.
Hayashi has very good service, a special menu, and is well-decorated. They just need to make their rolls extraordinary.“

“Food was out of this world. Super super delicious! Food came out extremely quickly. We ordered filet mignon and golden shrimp combo with fried rice and the chicken teriyaki entree. California roll was tender and fresh. Fried rice was cooked perfection as well. Perfectly balanced overall. Excellent service. I really appreciate the attention to filling waters /drinks when necessary. Atmosphere was friendly and so is the staff.“

“First off food was really good but was a tad bit on the spicy side. Also, wish they had fountain drinks instead of cans. Also, the service is beyond slow. Waited about 10 minutes for someone to come by for drinks and the waitress never came back to ask if everything looked ok and for refills. Its clear the staff here are not trained at all“

“We have a typical sushi restaurant that we go to up in Gurnee but last night we decided to try somewhere new which was Umai Sushi. What a pleasant surprise! The place is big, they have a really cool circular bar when you first walk in, and a self serve salad and miso soup bar. Not to mention the cocktails are AWESOME! The absolute best part though was the sushi boat for 2 we got was incredible! The sashimi pieces were thick and the salmon was so buttery and melted in your mouth. The nigiri pieces were massive! I highly recommend coming here, you won’t be disappointed!“

“Absolutely delicious seafood and sides! The shrimp, lobster, scallops and crab is cooked to perfection, flavorful and filling. We took our family size meal to - go to enjoy at home and everything was amazing! The hush puppies are excellent!!“
