“Haven't visited in quite a while, particularly for dinner. The current chef seems to be doing a respectable job with ingredient selection and traditional preparation techniques. I didn't think we'd ever find Tara no Kiku (cod milt) fresh in Mundelein, but they're doing it. They have a nice selection to dine izakaya style. It's pretty spendy though, being higher than other similar spots around.“
“I read many reviews before I went there and I was hesitating to go as most of them was not encouraging But I went for lunch and I didn’t expect that variety of dishes for this price 11:99 per person for lunch.The food was hot and delicious, most of what I tasted, tasted so good ( chicken with broccoli- mushrooms with chicken)Fried rice- creamy shrimp and the most delicious plate was seafood dishes.The dessert was delicious too , they do have sushi bar and hibachi grill.The service was not so bad or good.She was just okay, the restaurant is big and easily to park your car.The price is amazing compared to other Chinese buffet restaurants.I gave the food 5 stars ⭐️.I ll go there again“

“Wow this place is a gem! My husband and I came here last night and got the Godzilla roll, salmon sunset roll, and two different kinds of ramen. Everything was SO delicious and the sushi tasted incredibly fresh. The lady and gentleman that seemed to be running the place are the NICEST individuals. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the food, but we ate it too fast. This place is almost 40 mins for us, but it’s definitely worth the drive, we agreed it would be our go to sushi spot from now on. See you again soon!“
“Been here several times always fresh and consistent portions. If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place.My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.“

“I was hesitant to start writing, since I wanted to keep the place all to myself! But this would not be fair, so here goes my review. First, consider my vocabulary of superlatives to be already exhausted by previous reviewers. Second, these are the facts: we ate there twice in one week: we had a dinner and then immediately scheduled an omakase. Both time it was a life-changing experience. I kid you not! The sushi dinner was probably the best I ever had this side of the Pacific and this deep inland. In a 'regular' sushi place all sushis taste, well, like the defrosted raw fish with soy sauce. Not chef's Jino's! Each piece was different, complex, and exciting. The omakase performance was on par with a multi-Michelin-star restaurant I've ever been to with the difference being the absence of the usual hits or misses - hits only, be it a souffle, or sashimi, or filet. The host and waiter Danny was helpful and knowledgeable. And the place itself was pretty close to my ideal of a modern upscale restaurant - sleek, contemporary, and yet cosy. To the detriment of my convenience, I can only wish the place to have a month-long waiting list soon enough!“
“I gave 2 stars for atmosphere, because it’s only 2 tables in there. I see people eat in there but It’s not a restaurant …it’s pick up sushi little shop. Owners making them right in front of you and put box of sushi on the shelf and you can pick whatever you like. Sushi looks very good put together great taste , like in high end restaurant. Famous little shop for local, a lot of people in and out. Highly recommend if you in Lincolnshire area.“
“Good sushi rolls!! Been here a couple times & love it, doesn’t disappoint! We ordered & recommended the Miami Roll, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Caterpillar, the dumplings are good too! They also have burrito rolls, didn’t try them but they look good. Service was great as well. Very attentive. Place was very clean as well. & food tasted so fresh.“
