“It's a decent auahi spot that seems like a stealth Korean place. The sushi burritos (gimbap) are great. The Korean chirashi (hwe dup bop) has a smoky, spicy sauce (gochujang). The veggie tempura was very mid though. And the tables had that cheap wax that immediately spots when your cold drink sits on the table. But the staff were nice. So it definitely seems like they could shake it out if they tried. I suspect if you know what you're doing and your order leans Korean you can get the best out of this place. Still a nice neighborhood sushi spot either way.“

“If you want authentic food an amazing experience then this is your go to. The owners are hardworking and they do everything themselves. When you come here, you will be greeted by the hostess/waitress with a smiling face. A sweet Japanese man will be making the sushi and a lovely woman in the kitchen preparing with love all of the hot dishes. It is places like this that I love to eat, quite the opposite of the corporate chain restaurants who give you minimal while charging the max. This place does the opposite. You get the full value out of your dollar and it is well spent. The freshness of the sushi and the flavor of the chicken yakitori are second to none, because love is an ingredient that is not often found in restaurants anymore. Please do yourself a favor and bring your family to a restaurant that you will feel wholesome while filling you up.“

“The evening was really lovely, and I truly enjoyed the place. I couldn't upload all the pictures, but I visited to celebrate my niece's birthday, and she absolutely loved the food too. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, and the atmosphere was just as great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!“

“We've lived in this area for 20 years now, and this is hands down one of our favorite local establishments. The service is warm, yet efficient, and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend for an evening with a few friends or an intimate one on one dinner.

“I'm not much of a Sushi person but that might have changed after my visit here. Went for a friend's birthday dinner, no reservations, no wait, just walked in and was seated. After ordering, food less than 10 minutes later and looked GREAT! My favorite was the shrimp roll. Will definitely be eating here more“

“Super delicious food, I totally forgot this place was right by me! It's good to know because the sushi was delicious. The crab rangoons are amazing, I wish they were bigger because the flavor was amazing! Everyone was so nice here. The lovely older staff helped us out by lending us a lighter to light my friends birthday candles and then the lovely older lady took our photos. Overall, great vibes! Will be back.“

“The spicy crab poké bowl was lacking spicy crab, although the kimchi made up for it. Chicken fried rice was very tasty but not enough as a meal. Charsu was very fatty. Beef shoyu ramen was ok. The two slices of beef were a little tough. I liked the tasty broth, with lots of ramen, but I would have liked some kimchi or other pop of flavor.“

“I’ve been going to Tokio Sake for last 10 years. The food is amazing and the variety of Sake to choose from, the Chefs are creative and consistent . Not many places carry bluefin tuna but Tokio Sake does. Sashimi is fresh and kitchen entrees are outstanding.“

“I come here a few times a week. Annie and the other staff are amazing and friendly. Food is reasonably priced and consistently good. Menu options are also extensive. It's a nice combination of American Japanese and authentic Japanese food.“

“I wish I got some photos because of how lovely everything was! Best wonton soup in the area hands down, and always pleasant service! We used to come here often enough that the lovely waitress would recognize my boyfriend and ask if he wanted their (fabulous) Thai beer. Wonton soup is garnished with cilantro, green onions, and DELICIOUS fried garlic, had to order some to go! Fresh sushi that is rolled very well with beautiful presentation, delicious drunken noodles, perfect miso soup, and very fresh house salad with crisp red onions (I've never had such a nice house salad like this before, honestly!) “So, I stopped here after my post-op visit and ordered crab rangoon & orange chicken.
The crab rangoon is what I ate first, and as someone who has visited over three dozen american-chinese food selling restaurants in the Chicagoland area it is the best I have ever eaten. Really really spectacular. Incredibly tasty, strong flavors in both the filling & the sauce. Perfect amount of wrapping to filling. Will be coming here again when I'm in the area, just so I can get another set of them. I genuinely considered going back in and ordering another set when I finished the first but I had my orange chicken to eat so I sadly decided against it.

The orange chicken was next, and it was okay. I did enjoy it, but it came with onions (which I love) and bell peppers (which I hate) so I would've asked for it without the bell peppers if I'd known. Also the flavor wasn't as strong as I like, I prefer a strong orange flavor and a lot of sauce. This didn't have that, but it was the crispiest chicken I've ever had with orange chicken so that was definitely a bonus.
All in all, I'll definitely come back the next time I have an appointment here, mostly to get crab rangoon but I'll definitely be trying other things as well!“

“Tried this restaurant because we happened to be in the area. We ordered the spicy teriyaki and spicy tofu bowl. Both bowls were awesome! Tasted great. We also got the Tum yum sauce which was a nice addition. The bowls were actually not spicy but they gave us hot sauce and bottle of teriyaki sauce. We also ordered the spicy edamame which tasted great. The side of noodles turned out to be very plain noodles so we added some teriyaki and tum yum sauce to it. The regular bowl had enough portion for more than 1 person to eat it. Overall highly recommended!“
