“I've been going to Olando's for at least a decade now, and have yet to have a bad experience there. My most recent trip with my fiancee was no exception.The servers are friendly and helpful, the food is delivered quickly (even when they are busy), the portions are huge and the quality of the food is outstanding. While I've had their pizza before and really enjoyed it, I constantly find myself drawn to the "Bootie," an Italian beef sandwich topped with mozzarella cheese. It's got enough au jus in the sandwich to make it very flavorful (though next time I'll probably ask for some extra on the side, as I love sandwiches like this extra wet).My fiancee was impressed by the salad that came with her dinner, noting that it looked and tasted like it was made fresh to order. And she couldn't believe the serving size of her plate of lasagna. If there is a complaint - and I use that term very loosely - it's that there is so much good food served in the course of a meal that neither of us had room for dessert! Some day, I will sample the wares from Diana's Dream, the ice cream parlor that is part of Olando's... but for this particular visit, we left full and happy, and can't wait to visit again!July 2019“

“Random Find for me! This place is amazing. Needed some brisket for some poppers for a party. The owner was so hopefully. I tried several different menu items and everything was so delicious. This place is a 10+++ in my book. I highly recommend the brisket and wings.“

“We've been going to Ron and Pats for years, but their new pizza combo's are excellent. We just had the Sicillian with the thin crust extra crispy, and it's one of the best pizzas we've had there! If you haven't been, it's such a great place, amazing staff who are ultra friendly. Their website and online ordering are super smooth and easy to use. “Fantastic food and atmosphere! The clam chowder was delicious. We shared the beer battered fried cod and the beer battered fried walleye dinners. Both were perfect with just the right amount of crunch and delicious fish. We loved it and will be back :) the bartender's service was great to boot! He even came to the table to check on us. “We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.“

“Loved SLYCE Pizza. My wife and I are big fans of coal-fired pizza. Where I'm from in the NYC tri-state area, the best Italian food is in neighborhood family tavern restaurants and those thin crust tavern pies are cooked in super hot ovens. SLYCE brings it all back. Quality ingredients, great suggested combinations, good service and pleasant ambience. There's a lot of pizza choices in Chicagoland and we drive 25 minutes to SLYCE. There must be at least 100 pizza joints in the 25 mile radius. I'll take SLYCE. Keep up the great work!“

Went with big group and chicken is fantastic, the ribs are melting, the deep dish pizza was out of this world but my favorite was the loaded tater tots. “Been coming here for 15+yrs and it never disappoints. Great food and a great value in a world where everyone is jacking up their price to absurd levels. Have had catering done for a large party, have had delivery, and stopped in for food many times and it’s always been consistent and good food. “I called, placed my order and the Girl on the phone was friendly and accurate as to what I had ordered and she said my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove to my local Rosati’s in Lindenhurst Illinois 20 minutes later and picked up my piping hot thin crust, 4 topping Pizza! Everyone at the counter was friendly. “I cannot express in words how amazing the wings were. I have never had anything like that. It was about 17.50 for 10 so I thought that was pricey at first but when they came out I realized it wasn't. HUGE wings cooked perfectly just absolutely phenomenal. Bartender Jenny was also really nice and you could tell she had regulars and cared about them. These wings are not what you expect. We will be back and are ditching KFC. We will get the Togo chicken from Kelly's pub!“

“They struggled with some quality and employees issues a while back but they have really turned the ship around in the last couple of months. The owner got rid of the bad workers and improved the pizza products significantly. Their thin crust pizzas are now the best in the area and rival many places in Chicago. A buttery crust is topped with delicious sauce and cheese. The oregano-leaning seasoning is just about perfect and toppings are fresh and tasty. The workers greet you and are very polite. They are now my go-to in Mundelein by a mile.“

“Celebrated my fiancé 30th birthday there and it was the best. Kenny made sure we had everything set days before the party, showed up to the party to help out and make sure everything was great. He would keep up with checking in every so often which was nice to have the owner involved and actually care how it was all going. The bartenders were super awesome and made sure to check on everyone who was in the golf simulator on drinks and food. Overall I’m so thrilled we did his party there. “I finally found a spot I could review this place at. If anyone from lake county hasnt tried this place. You must add it to your list. The customer service is Absolutely top notch.The pizza is next level greatness. Personally I perfer pan pizza with extra cheese and wife love the double decker Sausage pepperoni with extra cheese. Every Friday night is pizza night and my family chooses this place every time. If there hasn't been a time I went in there and an employee is including something so even the restaurant is very clean. “Service is on point. Very friendly people there. The set up of the bar is awesome. The food was good and the portion sizes were perfect. My mini corn dogs were a little dark. Maybe I caught them in need to change the oil day. Prices are typical prices for a bar. Just really amazed how well that bar is taken care of inside.“

There is another location only 9 mins away but We go to this one a good 20 mins away because of the quality and service.“

“Sweet Melissa's Pizza and Pub was a great place to stop for a beer and food. Inside was really nice with lots of tv's. Meatball Sandwich was a monster. I had to cut the meatballs in half just to handle it. Meatballs were just ok. Parmesan Fries, Italian Egg Rolls and the soup were all delicious. The Chicken Tenders were just average. Very friendly and professional staff.“

“My family has been going to Maciano's for the last several years and, while there have been a few hiccups in management since we first started going there, the last couple of years have been filled with extremely good service, and really tasty food. We haven't been able to eat in as much as we used to, but we regularly get the same order every Wednesday and being it home to eat while we watch TV. The portions are generous for the price and the food always tastes fresh. One of the best qualities of the food is that it warms up extremely well no matter what you're getting, so it makes for great leftovers. The staff there are also incredibly friendly, and even on very busy days with less staff, they always make sure to keep the customers satisfied. “I've been here a few times now since the change from Touch of Class and am always pleasantly surprised at the quality. The food is great, and usually exactly what I'm wanting. The chef has dropped by my table a few times after we've eaten just to make sure everything was good and what we were wanting. The service is always rather quick and polite too! The overall ambience seems to still be developing as time goes on but nothing bad. A great "burger" joint (with far more selections) that hopefully continues into the future.“

“This is the best pizza around! We have been getting it every Monday (1/2 price pizza day) for many years. The people that work there really care about their customers. I wish they had a rewards program. Everybody has one and it would be nice to be given the opportunity to get a free pizza every now and then. Overall, this restaurant gets a 5/5 from our family. “Went to a Sip n Paint party here. Arrived early to grab a bite. Good food, it's off season right now so wasn't to busy other than for painting. It's a large place which is needed in the summer, it's popular and has a shuttle boat to take you to their lake bar which is always a good time.“

“Lucky Penny's is a place to gamble. A little pricey on the alcohol, shots ect.. it was nice place and had a calming atmosphere. They had pool tables next room over and ,2 dart machine in the main part with the bar and the machine to gamble. If I was in that area again might stop by. I wouldn't go out of my way. “Ever since new ownership the food quality has gone down hill. Ordered a kids Mac & cheese and what was delivered was kraft out of the box. Not what you expect from a nice restaurant. The chicken sandwich was one small chicken finger. We go there about 2 times a month but it was with the old owner. Also saw bioengineer food packaging on the Oster crackers (sysco food product). I know it's hard to find food not made with chemicals but we try and best to not eat it. The service there is great though!! Best service ever!!!“

“I order pizza from here once a month. My regular order usually consists of panpizzas, one with Alfredo, cheese, banana peppers, spinach, and chicken. The other one is usually barbecue sauce, cheese pepperoni. Each time I come here, I am always greeted by multiple crew members, whether they are at the register, oven, or pizza station.
