“The food is pricey. Any meal will cost you almost $20. It used to make a difference what type of food you got per the price. Not anymore a steak burger is about the same price as a regular burger. I believe people raise prices more bc of the excuse product cost more. However the staff is very friendly and they actually listen to how you ordered your food.

“This place has big, huge shrimps. The service was terrible, took over 20 minutes to order. The place wasn't crowded at all. Then it took another 25 minutes to receive your order. Good food, bad service. Plus they charge you extra for accepting debit cards! That's illegal.“

“First off, the young lady behind the counter was a pleasure to deal with. What a pleasant surprise after dealing with a lot of the help out there. Got the 10 piece chicken dark meat, small perch, small catfish and small shrimp dinners. Wanted to sample a little bit of everything and was quite pleased. The perch was breaded just right and very moist. The shrimp took a minimum of 2 bites to get down to the tail. The catfish is the best I’ve had since Marti’s Place on the Kankakee River closed. Then there was the chicken. The legs were colossal! As were the thighs! The thighs were about the size of my fist! Loved the crunch. Told the cook (owner maybe?) that we wanted to snack on something while watching football New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Took us 3 days to finish everything. Little bit of a drive to get there, but I go past a couple of chicken places to get there. Definitely worth the trip!!!“

Cornbeef on Rye, this time I asked for the roast beef instead and when I got to the window I told the girl I hadn’t tried the Roast beef I usually get the Rueben sandwich and that I hope I like, I’m huge Arby’s fan yata yata so! She said she hadn’t tried it either but she said she would give me both in case I didn’t like the roast beef, I’m like cool!

“well I'm really torn on if I should recommend or not... most of the time the food is fine but when it comes to fundraisers they are really really horrid. let's put a box out and not put anything on the box so the majority of the people have no idea about tossing their receipts in there for a cause... im pretty sure they make enough money where they can put something on the boxes for the customers... if they are so scared about losing money don't even bother... yesterday I was there around 4 and not one person threw a receipt in the box.. I was the first.... second fundraiser and second time unless you already knew, had no idea about it.. .“

Filthy floors bathroom and the garbage cans were all overflowing with everything from beverages to food and ketchup all over the place. this is so hard to believe that the place has been open a little longer than 1 year and looks like that. stay away go to merrillville location because they actually do keep it super clean.“
