Food was what I expected for the price and actually outperformed my expectations. Good cheap Chinese food with no frills. Really scratches that type of itch.
I ordered the bourbon chicken and the orange “chicken”, it was hot I will give them that but the bourbon chicken was hard and the orange chicken didn’t have any chicken it was ALL just fried dough. I checked every piece bc the bigger pieces I was eating was just dough so I figured let me check the rest and there 0 chicken in the dish. I had a really disappointing experience at Wok a Holic. First of all, the service was just awful — slow, unfriendly, and completely unhelpful. But the worst part? They tried to charge me extra for a drink refill. Yes, you read that right. In a fast-food place, where refills are usually standard or at least clearly stated if not included, they asked for additional money just to top up my soda. No warning, no sign, just a sneaky extra charge.
