Last nights dinner was excellent! Loved the walleye and homemade hot rolls. We had a great dinner for my mom’s Birthday. The charcoal has been open for 75 years ! Go with friends and have a great meal.
Quiet, peaceful, authentic 1940s supper club owned and run by a family in its second generation. Candle lit. Hand written, classic menu. Not inexpensive, but portions are huge, and vibe is transformational. If we lived nearby, we would eat here each payday as an intimate night out to catch up on one another. Romantic.
We went there for Valentine's Day and could not have had a better experience. We have been wanting to go there for a long time after driving by frequently and we finally pulled the trigger. It definitely has "vintage charm," kind of like an old Wisconsin supper club. The cod was delicious as well as the pork shish-kabob.
