“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. “Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. Comfortable sitting, great comfortable noise level, not crowded sitting( we had a wheelchair), food excellent. Pork shoulder outstanding. No stickiness on anything. Best day/meal ever! Thank u Doug“

“OMG I am so picky about pizza being a NYer. But I think I may have a new obsession !!! The crust had a perfect crispness, tons of toppings and the pepperoni was out of this world. One of the few places that offers classic cupped pepperoni!! Tried the sweet chili boneless wings too.... perfect amount of sweet and heat!“

“The shaved ice is amazing. They have several flavors to choose from. That was my favorite part actually.

The pizza was okay. It needs seasoning in the sauce. I had pepperoni and my husband had pepperoni and sausage. He said the sausage tasted like Casey's sausage. Do with that what you will.

Other than the lack of seasoning, the crust was great. If you LOVE cheese, you will like how much cheese they use. The pepperonis would taste better if they were above the cheese, but that is of course preference. Overall nice place. 1 slice is all you really need do to the size of each slice.“

“Growing up in the Chicago area, especially on the south side, you EXPECT local pizza joints to be good. Lots of places that don't primarily sell pizza still have better pizza that you get in other parts of the country.

Though it's been around for a long time, as have I, I'd never tried Rosangela's prior to this time, and I'm here to say that I am a believer.

I tried introducing a colleague of mine to chicago pizza at a couple other places, and they did not impress him... Rosangela's did.

Just a medium special and a drink, but I will tell you that it's some of the best tavern style things crust pizza you'll ever have.

It's as good as your favorite place, and likely better.

“First time at Dante’s House of Pizza in Munster, and I have to say — I am completely impressed!

I had a taste for something different today. Sometimes in Northwest Indiana, it feels like we tend to have many of the same restaurant choices, and I wanted to try something new without having to drive too far from home. Dante’s definitely delivered.

The menu has so many great choices that I honestly didn’t know what to order! I started with an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious, and decided to order a small pizza to take home.

But what really made my first experience stand out was the service. I sat in the bar area and was taken care of by Lindsay, who was absolutely fabulous. From the moment she learned it was my first time there, she took the time to explain things, tell me about the different specials throughout the week, and even helped make sure my pizza was ordered exactly the way I wanted it.

Lindsay is not only a great bartender, but her level of customer service is exceptional. Her attentiveness, personality, and overall service are the kind of experience every restaurant should strive to provide.

“As I walked in the cashier was too busy playing a game on her phone. She acted as if I was disturbing her. Anyway now to the pizza I ordered a small pizza with 4 toppings, extra cheese and sauce. It was 30 dollars a couple of the toppings was a double charge. They told me 40 minutes. I've never waited that long for a pizza but okay. It wasn't definitely no extra cheese and sauce. I must say it was delicious. Just a few things rubbed me the wrong way so I'm not sure if I will try it again“

“I decided to try Jet's Pizza months after seeing an advertisement and after tasting it I'm sorry that I waited so long. It's delicious 🤤. I love the crunchy edges and it has a unique flavor. It's good hot or cold and although it's thick.... it's not gummy. So now I'm hooked...my new go-to pizza is Jet's Detroit style large with extra sausage, extra mushrooms, and extra green peppers. PS. The service was excellent and the pizzeria was bright and very neat.“

Only thing I don't like, is if you just eat a half ingredient on a portion of the pizza they still charge you for a full ingredient.“

“This place is such a hidden gem! Catered from them for Xmas eve and had my birthday dinner there a week before. Actually also had my rehearsal dinner there almost 10 years ago lol! “I’ve been here several times over the last few years and my family loves their donuts and especially the apple fritters. I wanted a slice of pizza and decided to try theirs . I wish I hadn’t. It seemed to be a cheap frozen box pizza only suitable for late night consumption by inebriated college students. Do go to Chicos and enjoy their donuts but skip the pizza. Your stomach will thank you.“

“We were the only ones in the place, so we were totally catered to. Of course it was at an off time on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, which is why we were the only customers. We had a nice chat with the owner, and the food was absolutely delicious. We especially liked that much of it is homemade on site. So good!“

“We went to Johns in Dyer and had a fabulous experience. We went for my birthday. 4 adults and eight grandchildren. The food was amazing and the service was awesome and the boys making the pizzas were so nice to the kids. The kids were watching through the window and the cooks were interacting with the kids. They had a blast and are already talking about how they want to go back. We will be definitely visiting Johns soon! My only complaint as we did order it to go is I wish they had put utensils in the bag and an extra ranch dressing (seeing as the salad is pretty decent in size).“
