“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. “I stopped on by Jet's Pizza to get the 2 Pepperoni slices lunch combo and 🌊. The Detroit Style crust is crispy, and the sauce was so MUCH better. One day, I will get the Ultimate Pepperoni. I will definitely be visiting more often. I was so very extremely happy to the Matteson location open with have to travel very far away from my neighborhood.“

“The shaved ice is amazing. They have several flavors to choose from. That was my favorite part actually.

The pizza was okay. It needs seasoning in the sauce. I had pepperoni and my husband had pepperoni and sausage. He said the sausage tasted like Casey's sausage. Do with that what you will.

Other than the lack of seasoning, the crust was great. If you LOVE cheese, you will like how much cheese they use. The pepperonis would taste better if they were above the cheese, but that is of course preference. Overall nice place. 1 slice is all you really need do to the size of each slice.“

“OMG I am so picky about pizza being a NYer. But I think I may have a new obsession !!! The crust had a perfect crispness, tons of toppings and the pepperoni was out of this world. One of the few places that offers classic cupped pepperoni!! Tried the sweet chili boneless wings too.... perfect amount of sweet and heat!“

“Growing up in the Chicago area, especially on the south side, you EXPECT local pizza joints to be good. Lots of places that don't primarily sell pizza still have better pizza that you get in other parts of the country.

Though it's been around for a long time, as have I, I'd never tried Rosangela's prior to this time, and I'm here to say that I am a believer.

I tried introducing a colleague of mine to chicago pizza at a couple other places, and they did not impress him... Rosangela's did.

Just a medium special and a drink, but I will tell you that it's some of the best tavern style things crust pizza you'll ever have.

It's as good as your favorite place, and likely better.

“Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. “We were greeted quite rudely by Lisa, the hostess, which set a negative tone from the start. She was even rude to the waitresses while seating us, and we couldn’t believe the attitude. We remember Kathy months ago being a pleasure but haven't seen her last few weeks.

However, once we were greeted by Heather, Courtney, and Hannah, everything changed. They were warm, friendly, and truly a pleasure. Their professionalism and positivity completely turned the evening around and made our experience enjoyable — a real tour de force.

“First time in the Chicago area and decided to hit up Jet's Pizza. I ordered the Ultimate Pepperoni and added Mike’s Hot Honey to it. Wow. The combination of all that pepperoni with the sweet heat of the honey on that deep-dish crust was incredible. If you're in the area, you've got to try it. Chicago pizza is the real deal.“

“Honestly if I just got pizza this would be a 5 star review however, I ordered waffle fries that tasted extremely dry like they were old and wings that were just alright. I assumed the wings would be fried but they were baked not a big fan of baked wings. The pizza was excellent and I would definitely come back for that alone. I’m not a big fan of deep dish but based off the taste of the thin crust pizza I’m definitely going to have to try that next time.“

“I love both places. The chicken sausage is the best and all that cheese. I love the Markham spot, but once I invited a friend and her two young daughters to join me. We sat at one of the two tables to have drinks while we waited. Before we knew it, we ended up eating dinner there!! It is great but a bit small to bring kids for dinner. Now, Mickey, the owner, who is wonderful, has a second Dream’s in Calumet Park! It’s a comfortable restaurant and the same great pizza! Yay!“

“I decided to try Jet's Pizza months after seeing an advertisement and after tasting it I'm sorry that I waited so long. It's delicious 🤤. I love the crunchy edges and it has a unique flavor. It's good hot or cold and although it's thick.... it's not gummy. So now I'm hooked...my new go-to pizza is Jet's Detroit style large with extra sausage, extra mushrooms, and extra green peppers. PS. The service was excellent and the pizzeria was bright and very neat.“

However , I remember the songs being put on the Pizza at later in the cooking process so that the sauce remained fresher.Tasting , prior to taking it out of the oven.... A lot of people might not be able to tell the difference , but I certainly can... It's a great product.There's no doubt about it.. “Outstanding food quality and good service. I love this place and everything on their menu. I had the chicken parmesian sandwich with fries and it was delicious. My mom used to take me here as kid and the quality is just as good as it was then. Highly recommend this place. Dining atmosphere is always pleasant and the food is always delicious.“

“The pizza was actually very good, and the Caesar salad was solid too. No complaints with the food.

The only issue was the service when we first arrived. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes without anyone greeting us. Eventually, we went up to the cashier to ask if we were supposed to order there, and he told us someone should’ve come to the table. He then had a server come over, and she was very apologetic, which we appreciated.

It wasn’t very busy, about half the place was empty, so it was a bit surprising that no one acknowledged us when we walked in.

That said, the food was good, and I’d still come back.“

“We went to Johns in Dyer and had a fabulous experience. We went for my birthday. 4 adults and eight grandchildren. The food was amazing and the service was awesome and the boys making the pizzas were so nice to the kids. The kids were watching through the window and the cooks were interacting with the kids. They’re very generous with the cheese and toppings. Every bite had great flavor, and the sauce ties it all together perfectly.
