“We visited on our way home to Galesburg, IL after attending a concert in Chester. WOW, the food was AMAZING! My sister said, "They have the very best brisket, pulled pork, bacon, and turkey I've ever had in my life. It literally melts in your mouth. It was 5 times better than my favorite barbecue place. And I have never had turkey that wasn't dry until today." I am picky about my mac and cheese but yours was amazing. My smashed burger and tator tots were excellent. If ever back in the area, we will definitely be coming back for more. The owner and staff were so great despite being short-staffed that day. I highly recommend Smoked N Smashed.”

“They have a lot of different selections. All of them seem to be very good my favorite is the turkey sandwich. I had a little trouble with mine one day and the management took care of the problem. This being the only problem I've ever had from there. That means a lot to me for them to take their food orders serious especially nowadays with prices being high everywhere thank you”

“My 9-year-old grandson choose Taco Bell after the restaurant he originally chose had a live band playing and it was loud. While the drive-thru was busy, there were no other diners inside. My grandson told stories to his heart's content. It was clean and there weren't any napkins but Teresa brought us paper towels.”

“They serve fresh baked cookies on pool league nights. Excellent bartenders, didn’t mind special request for a Kamakazi. It was very refreshing. Good music always playing, very friendly clientele. Cold Beer, Good Music, Mean Sexy Women. What’s not to like about this establishment? Will return, plan on frequently patronizing this establishment

“While attending the Grand American in Sparta friends suggested dining here. Food was great and we made two trips for lunch. I had the bluegill one day and a blooming onion burger the next. Also scrounged a piece of cherry pie for later. A friend of ours from Asheboro NC tipped us off about this place and we hope to return to dine in 2027. The pickles we ate one day were possibly home made or locally sourced and I neglected to ask the waitress. The cafe sits ride beside the railroad tracks and a freight train rumbled by while we were dining. I did not hear one complaint from any of my friends and some were miserable when they left because they are so much...”

“Headed back to Pinckneyville from Sparta earlier this evening, I stopped to pick up a chicken strip basket for my husband and a small fry for myself. The young lady at the window was very courteous and friendly, she let me know that they were making fresh chicken and fries. When she brought my order, she apologized for the wait, which really wasn’t that long and worth it. My fries were hot and crispy, salted just right. My husband was very pleased with his meal, everything still hot when I got home, nice sized chicken strips and a generous amount of fries. Good job Coulterville DQ!”
