“First time visit,Over all the food was average. For the price below average. I had the Bluegill with Au gratin potatoes and green beans with Iced-tea. MY review: the Bluegill was deep-fat fried too long which made it dry and crunchy. Their tartar sauce made it edible. Now as for the Au gratin potatoes, very cheap and cheesy. Whomever, makes this need a lesson in really good Au Gratin Potatoes. Their version is frozen shredded breakfast hashbrown potatoes smothered in a velveeta cheese sauce and placed under a broiler. Mine was a little burnt. I could not eat it, I tried 2 bites but that was it. My guest also tried it and was not impressed. The green were the best part of the meal. My guest had the Walleye and it was very good, same with his rice pilaf. His meal also came with a slice of toasted marble-rye bread. His meal was better. Our ice tea's were watered down by too much ice. No one offered refill/toppers. Our split dessert was their Texas sheet cake. It was an overpriced brownie with bad frosting/glaze. Our server was sweet, so she still got her tip. We traveled approximately 30 miles to check this place out. I don't feel it is worth the drive to eat there again.”

“I was having a conversation with a worker and noticed her using lots of organic ingredients and real Himalayan salt... this sparked my curiosity and I started paying attention to the food she was making ... I decided to buy lunch here after initially just grabbing my first ever coffee at this coffee shop .... to my surprise that dragon berry fruit bowl was absolutely amazing. I have never been to a place that uses clean ingredients like this. This was a great experience. 5 stars!”

“Rhythm Kitchen has always been a staple in downtown Peoria for a couple of reasons…excellent food and awesome atmosphere. It’s cool that they just keep getting better and better. A group of us went there last night for dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! Service is always so friendly and you simply cannot replicate the Rhythm Kitchen vibe anywhere. The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. Few places leave you with the need to go back the very next day, but I gotta say, I need to go back…like now.”

“Omgersh....that was the best chicken burrito I have ever had! Just be careful of the juice dripping down! You'll want to eat that too. Eat it over the delicious chips and salsa! The salsa has a kick, but it's a kick that adds to the flavor! Definitely recommend. Worth the trip downtown.”

The atmosphere is always friendly and old school customer service, the menu and food is awesome and they are over the top supportive of our Vets, active military and first responders. Travis, Melissa and Cameron take care of everyone that walks in the door. They are always “on mission” and it shows.”

“The wife and I stopped here for Sunday Date Day for the first time. Great experience and great food! I eat a 90% meat diet and they were more than happy to switch it up, add another meat option (for upcharge of course) and keep the pita/rice and hummus. :) The food was great!.. I got the 3 Shish combination plate (1 of each) and it was very flavorful and cooked well. Nice crisp on the lamb shish and the other meats were spiced different enough to tell them apart. The seasoning on the chicken reminded me of growing up and having souvlaki at Festival in Grand Rapids, MI. Wife had the lamb shank special and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite of the shank and it was amazing. VERY tender...a perfectly braised shank! Sauces were good. Green had a little heat and was very jalapeno forward, the red had more of a Buffalo Wing vibe (maybe a mix of harissa?) and the tzatziki was very fresh... looser than I am used to but it was nice. :) Although I didn't have the pitas like the wife did, they are Illinois made in Skokie at Libanais, always a plus. Being 2 miles from home, we are sure to swing in again. Heck, it might be a common change from our normal Jimmy Johns lunch. :)”
