Amazing little place! Magnificent subs, just the way I like them. I was also quite impressed with the soup, which for me really hits the spot on a cold rainy day. Nostalgic posters and music too. Loved it!

Friendly staff! Subs are as good here as the other locations in Springfield. They've started listing what's vegan on a little sign inside ? I don't love the interior but it's a really convenient location to grab & go. They have Gardein chick'n & meatballs, FYH cheese and mayo, and both the sweet bread and rye are vegan! Update as of 09/23/2024: they no longer carry vegan cheese. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-30

We tried the pizza sub at Head West Sandwich Shop, but it came out cold despite asking for it warm. The chicken bacon ranch was good, but the real highlights were the delicious chocolate chip cookie and the unique Jones soda.
