“This place has been here forever, and there's a reason for that. It's got decent food and prices. It's hard not to stop in for a bite to eat when back in the area. That leaves other places unexplored, but it's like going to a restaurant and always getting your favorite dish and not trying other things.The Double Breaded CheeseBurger is the cult classic here. You just can't find them anywhere else. I like the liver and onions, and the fried chicken is wonderful. I'm not a fan of coated fries, but everything else I've had here over the years has been wonderful. I wish there were more places like Ziggie's.”

We've since decided to come back to the campground and this is a nice little place to come to that harkens back to simpler times (the decor hasn't changed in years) but if you're thinking of bringing your debit card or using Apple Pay, that ain't gonna happen. Bring cash or your checkbook (do people still have those?) the food isn't gonna blow you away, but it is good comfort food.”

They are really down to earth people! We ordered Fried Chicken for an event at R church and it was fantastic! We've had Sullivans, HyVee and Walmart and this chicken beats them all!I have had many of their dishes and never left hungry and feeling well satisfied! The soups are fresh and so delicious that I have to call ahead to save me some because they run out so fast! I'll get breakfast or lunch and it's all tasty! That was very nice!! After 40 minutes my order was done and the pizza maker apologized to me for it taking so long to be ready. I assured them that I understood, and thanked them for their hospitality. I poured out my soda and placed the glass in the dish cart so someone didn't have to clean it up, since they were so busy. We love the atmosphere in this one-time police building and municipal jail. The food is very good. The menu prices are quite reasonable. And the staff is friendly. However, we did not appreciate the "convenience fee" that the establishment adds to its meal and bar checks. Makes the customer feel cheated, sadly. Otherwise: five stars.”
