“I NEVER leave reviews, but….. Teresa!! Best Bartender in all of Illinois!!! ☀️ We drove 4 hours to surprise her for the Super Bowl, after not seeing her for 1 1/2 years!! We made a special trip from Wisconsin🦡🦡 (Land of “A bar On Every Corner” ) just to get a few cold beers, cocktails, and hug from her!!! She’s the Bar Angel!! She not only remembered us😉, but she remembered what we drink! Now that’s a pretty darn good bartender!!! 😊😘 (she should probably get a raise! 😁) Thank you!!”

“We made it a point to hit both Champaign-Urbana locations during our visit, and both were genuinely busy — which tells you something. We actually bought the very first gift card this location ever sold. The trainee processing it had to be walked through the whole transaction, but the staff handled it graciously and we didn't mind. When we came back and used the card to order the steak shawarma meal with fries (plus a second order of fries), they threw in complimentary falafel for our patience — a small gesture, but a good one. The food is solid. The steak shawarma wrap is well-built — the tahini, tomatoes, and onions work together. And the fries deserve a special mention: they were honestly the best fries we've had at any shawarma establishment, which is exactly why we ordered a second round. They skip the plain salt and use what tastes like a house seasoning blend — layered, flavorful, and genuinely addictive. That alone is worth remembering when you order. That said, if you've eaten your way through some of the shawarma heavyweights in Kingston and St. Catharines, Ontario, or hit the spots down in Fort Lauderdale, you'll notice the portion sizes run a little smaller here and the flavor ceiling on the shawarma itself is a notch or two lower. It passes comfortably — it just doesn't quite hit that peak tier. Staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they're doing, even under the pressure of a packed house. This is a high-volume campus operation and they wear it well. Worth a stop if you're in C-U — and whatever you order, don't skip the fries.”
