Stopped by last weekend while we were at the mall…and I need to be brutally honest…the empanadas were unreal. Even had to walk up to the owner to tell her how good they were. Mac and cheese + potatoes were awesome too. Try the empanadas, especially the curry chicken and spicy chicken.

Best food in the mall, hands down! Its been a long time since I had such an amazing meal in a mall!!!! Can't go wrong with the jerk chicken and that Mac and cheese is to die for. I also loved the pinto beans

Wow! What a great meal! The jerk chicken is moist and flavorful, the seasoned rice is delicious, and the red beans full of flavor. Of course can never go wrong with Mac and cheese!
I know Angela and Kevin, two great people working hard to get this restaurant off the ground. So next time you’re anywhere within driving distance of the Vernon Hills mall, come support a local business and get an amazing homestyle meal.

Found this gem in the mall! We got the jerk chicken with spicy rice, mac n’ cheese and pinto beans. Full of flavor and absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend to eat here!

OMG! Amazing tasty flavorful food! So nice for the mall to offer some real quality food. I can’t wait to go back and try more items. The jerk chicken was outstanding. Portions were big! Reasonable prices. Friendly customer service.

It's in a mall. Not expecting much (but thinking it's a better choice than the other places), came out of it WOWED. Not only is the mild jerk chicken flavorful, the Mac n cheese is phenomenal. Highly recommend if you need a bite in the mall for relatively cheap, but simple and a LOT of food!

Angela’s is a hidden gem! Her food is made from scratch and everything tastes amazing. The empanadas are my favorite with the sauce - it’s like nothing else! I crave it!! Go for the lunch special.

Really good Jamaican pattys. Good size. Great j*** and curry chicken flavors and mine came piping hot out of the kitchen. Fresh fresh. All the sides excellent also. Very flavorful and a good value for lunch and dinner. This is type of dish at the potluck you get seconds... thirds.. fourths of. Delicious. Flavor bombs.will be back.

First experience here and hopefully not the last! Empanadas were great size and made to order - sides were delish - and loved the rotating empanada filling options. What’s more, this is as small business as it gets! In fact, Angela herself served up my tasty lunch. Just ignore the other places and go straight here ;)

The owner and chef is amazing! She is welcoming, and makes a wide variety of foods with a range of spice levels. Best of all, this is super appropriate for kids! There are loads of veggies, and other simple one ingredient dishes. It really is a gem to find something so tasty and healthy in a mall food court.

Kid-friendliness: Very appropriate.

You are doing yourself an injustice if you eat anywhere else in the food court. Food made with love… Definitely what the mall has been missing!!! Make sure to try the empanadas. If you like spicy food add a little bit of the spicy cabbage… Thank me later ???
