“The best food around. In a desert of good quality meats and cheeses (among other things) this place is a gem! Sandwiches are perfect. Everything we ordered was balanced, flavorful and fresh. Instead of hitting up local drive thrus and greasy food joints, take 20 minutes and check this place out. It’s totally worth it.”

“Tried the new menu item Gyros. Hope they keep it on the menu. They were great. The Tzatziki Sauce which makes a Gyro was perfect with enough cucumbers. We now have a new place to go to for Gyros. Last, I had just about everything on their menu and everything is delicious.”

“I had a terrible McDonald’s experience in Iowa city, and this McDonald’s made up for it. I ordered the same thing I normally get and everything arrived perfectly. “We had a little issue with our order. Had to call twice with an hour between each call. We were missing our salt n vinegar chips, bbq chips, and brownie. The man on the phone handled it very professionally. And the driver hand delivered the food! I understand things happen; we are all human !”

Talk about pizza... the ingredients are fresh and plentiful, cheese just the right texture and amount, crust crispy and satisfying so much so that you can eat 2 (maybe 3 pieces ) and not feel STUFFED! Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is nostalgically comfortable. Our 11 month grandbaebae was happily acknowledged by all waitstaff though they were busily weaving thru the tables with their pizza pies and libations. They offered to take a picture of our group of 6 afterwards, as we were celebrating our son's birthday. On our return home, realizing an item wrapped in a napkin, was left behind and most likely tossed, I called and the owner (Jerry O.) offered to look thru the waste and by the time I returned to the restaurant, seeing him with a smile on his face, I knew he had found it !! That's going the extra mile... hurray to Uncle Jerry and his crew !!”

We originally saw them by my house in Grayslake by the GCHS school in the summer time and man they are delicious. “One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Their coffee is rich and delicious. Their pastries are yummy. My dog loves the pup cup. My only criticism is that I wish the dining room was larger. Does have a drive through, but the entrance is in really weird spot behind the store.”

“Definitely worth the few extra minutes driving up here from Round Lake. I showed up on Thursday to find out they’ve got an all you can eat taco special 👀 I gotta roll myself out to my car after this. Don’t let the previous rough construction out front fool you, this place is gold. I had the steak and chorizo tacos that were superb. Mango margarita slapped 👏🏻”

“I just went there to have a meeting with a coworker and absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere. The empanada was still frozen when they served it to me but the server was so kind and gentle and immediately gave me another one that was well cooked and didn’t charge me for the wait and inconvenience. I call that consideration and good business practice! Will be back again!!”

“I visited Toast and Roast which was recommended by my brother. The atmosphere was awesome and very i inviting, not to mention extremely clean! The food was great, especially the pumpkin cheesecake muffins. They were Light, fresh, moist, and very flavorful. I’d recommend this establishment to anyone and I look forward to my next visit.”
