We had a very good experience at Gino's! The food was delicious and service was good especially for just recently opening. We will definitely be back.

Our servers were excellent! Shout out to Charlie and Moehrsa (Spelling?). The hostess was most helpful sharing her favorites of the different menu items. Thank you Jamie! It was a wonderful experience and we will be back.

Good things: Waitress and support staff were attentive. Beer menu lacks Wine menu appeared strictly Italian, wife prefers a Reisling Grouper was overcooked and rubbery. Scallops were fine. Flash fried spinach was fine although salty. Mixed veggies were good. Prices are high for the quality we received. We're not likely to return as the competition is right down the street for less.

We sat at a table on 2nd floor. Very nice but we could hear the band upstairs. Decor was very nice. Service was very good for new employees and food was delicious. It was delivered very timely.

Food was very good Atmosphere was great. Service wasn't high-end by any means, but the waitress was very friendly and attentive. I appreciate that she was doing her best for sure. Pretty Bad: I ordered veal saltimbocca and the menu said "3 pieces". When the food came to the table, it only had 2 pieces on the plate. So I asked the waitress about it. She checked with the kitchen, came back and said: "When they cut bigger pieces you only get 2". I didn't love that experience for a number reasons. Not great, but not a huge deal: No prices on the wine list so had to ask about the price of a bottle; no steak knife so I had to cut veal with my butter knife; wife only had salad fork so we had to ask for that; background music started off good, but then somebody started messing with the radio station and there were loud ads, etc for a while. Lot of asking for basic things - this shouldn't have to happen in a fairly expensive "dining" experience.

Food was fantastic and service was even better. They've done a great job with the transition from Gallagher's.

Overall the food and service were good. We ordered a pizza which was not hot when it came and an order of fries that we never received. They did take the fries off the ticket

We sat at the bar for cocktails and dinner. Mezcal margarita was amazing, so was the two bartenders that attended to us! However when the filet came out it was dry and overcooked. I ordered it medium. Do not have chophouse in your name when you can not deliver. He took off one drink because of it. I ate the other half of my cousins burger... that's how bad the filet was. However, the burger was fantastic.

We had the short rib ravioli as the appetizer, it was really really good. My daughter in law got the rigatoni and loved it. I got the shrimp fettuccine with shrimp. It was really creamy and delicious. I wish the short rib ravioli was an entree, it was that good. The staff was very attentive and professional. Will be back!

We dined at Geno's two consecutive nights, eager to try their fine dining experience. On the first night, we had the chicken and veal Marsala, but unfortunately both dishes lacked flavor and the sauce was more like a thin broth than a Marsala. The red pasta also looked and tasted like box bow-tie pasta with a basic marinara. Both portions were quite small. We returned the second night with a relative hoping that our first visit was an “off night”. During the hour and a half we were there, we watched about 15 guests turned away despite plenty of open tables, booths, and bar seating. Most of the bar area was labeled as “reserved” but nearly all remained empty for the duration of our time there. The food quality was inconsistent. We ordered the peppercorn shrimp appetizer ($17) and were surprised to receive only two shrimp—something that would have been helpful to note on the menu when we ordered for three people. Our steaks came out overcooked, while the burger was undercooked with a stale bun. The server was pleasant and did acknowledge the kitchen was struggling with temps on steaks & burgers, but it took 10–15 minutes for her to return so we could address the issue. We ended up sending one uneaten steak back and agreed to keep the other as is. The server did remove the one uneaten steak from the bill, which we appreciated. That said, if a kitchen is known to be struggling with under/over-cooked food, attentive follow-up is critical in a fine dining establishment. It also would have been nice to see a manager check in, especially as this is a new restaurant still building its reputation. We spent over $350 ($400 had the steak not been taken off) between the two visits, and the overall service, quality, and potion size fell extremely short of expectations. The highlight both nights was the short rib ravioli appetizer—it was excellent and the one dish we would definitely recommend. As Waterloo residents, we want this business to thrive and wish Geno's the best.

Service, quality of food great. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Only issue was air conditioning, it was warm and a little uncomfortable.

Weight staff is very kind, but not as attentive as usual. We love the atmosphere and such delicious food.
